Nice to see your perspective of China.I am so impressed by this. Thanks for sharing information about what is really happening in China without distortion and manipulation like most mainstream media from the US. This is the stuff the mainstream media from the US don't want people to know about.Whether you call China a communist or socialist state it is undeniably a country putting the common good of a community first.oh....God Bless you.I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

I traveled the whole world too and circumstantially settled in Shanghai, China. Now a permanent resident here. I spent decade+ visiting every province of China fascinated by so many unique things, places, foods, applied technology and people, I think I can't get enough time in my life to see it all. It is so shameful that the propaganda we are spoon fed in the west keeps us so ignorant about this whole parallel world. We think we are the cool guys in the hood, but China put us to shame.

Personal Safety is not a concern in China, because anyone feels safe everywhere (it's safe everywhere) , so I assume your comments about the two Chinese persons taking care of your safety, were there only in in order to make that you don't injure yourself by falling-off during your camel ride.
The fact that you did not see any homeless people or rubbish in the street of Shanghai is a worldwide admirable Government achievement setting an example for the western world to follow, but you comments where too short and ''colorless'' , same as the small prints of a newspaper, when they don't want people to pay much attention on something exceptionally admirable about China.

Half a year after China lifted Covid-19 restrictions and reopened its borders, few international travelers are coming - another sign of decoupling between China and the West that could have negative repercussions for a long time.
Foreign travelers’ absence is particularly evident in major cities like Beijing and Shanghai, where the numbers of foreigners who visited in the first half of the year totaled less than a quarter of comparable figures in 2019, before the Covid pandemic.
Nationwide, just 52,000 people arrived to mainland China from overseas on trips organized by travel agencies during the first quarter, the latest period for which national data is available, compared with 3.7 million in the first quarter of 2019. As in past years, nearly half of the visitors came from the self-ruled island of Taiwan and the Chinese territories of Hong Kong and Macau, rather than farther-away places like the U.S. or Europe.
“The number of visitors from Europe, America, Japan and Korea are all dropping, substantially,” said Xiao Qianhui, a director with the semiofficial China Tourism Association in a speech in May.
