    Wow, that was so cool. The ribbing went right over my head, but the heal and toe technique is going to be valuable. I got a Bond about a month ago, and I'm kinda getting it figured out. The snow was so beautiful ❤

      My first machine was a Bond, fine and not so fond memories 😁 maybe if they had some of the newer cast on combs I would have liked it more.

      @@LoveYourKnittingMachine It can make me crazy trying to figure it out. But it's a good learning tool until I find a great deal on a Brother ;)

    I think I know where you might have run into the problem of the socks not staying up. I have an identical machine (Studio 150 chunky knitter) and 10 on the carriage is the tightest/closest together stitches, but when you dialed down to 9 for the rest of the sock it was actually putting the stitches further apart and they would not hug the leg.
    I am by no means an expert so I may be wrong, but that's my best guess.
    Also you have stitches not knitting because the yarn in the skein is catching and putting to much drag/tension on the yarn as it goes through the mast overhead. The best 20$ I've ever spent on my knitting was investing in a ball winder and rewinding all my skeins into center pull balls. No more catching, no more dropped stitches due to uneven yarn tension, and best of all no more knotted up skeins.

      10 is the tightest?? I thought 1 is the tightest on the carriage dial?

      Another good tip I learned from a video is to double wind- wind into a ball and then wind it again. It sounds useless but it has really helped my yarn feed smoothly.

    Good morning. I would like to get a machine like yours, where can I get one?

    Your video is great!!! You do a really good job of explaining things to do but more importantly what not to do which really helped me. Could I kindly suggest you eliminate the background music? I really need to concentrate and it was driving me a bit crazy I know it is just me and my quirkiness but just a suggestion.

      Thanks so much. I have eliminated the music in most of my videos now. I can't change it after the fact without losing instructions too unfortunately.

    when i knit my machine lose stitch why?

    • @LoveYourKnittingMachine
      @LoveYourKnittingMachine  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😔 that’s frustrating! Usually it’s because the yarn isn’t in the carriage properly and the needles aren’t grabbing it to knit through.

      Three things come to mind. 1. Not enough weight on the knitting. 2. The machine needs to be taken apart, cleaned, and the foam strip replaced. 3. Too much tension on the mast at the top where the yarn goes through.
      I have had all three happen to me.
