Watching old videos cause I'm missing you! Lol I did just watch your grocery haul and this came up so I am listening to your baby boy story. Time flies!
I said it before but I will say it again. He is SO cute!! He looks so cuddly! I am sorry your labour was a little more difficult but sounds like you were a trooper. What a blessing to have the older children to be involved in the process. Thanks fir sharing Julie!💕
Charity’s adoption comment is so funny! My oldest daughter was asking me recently how it feels to give birth. 😂 I remember being a bit disappointed my baby brother wasn’t a girl, but God knew I needed a brother! Looks like Wesley is getting some little cheeks. 😊💕
Thanks Deanna! I love their curiosity...she even told me “I know you’ll tell me I’ll change my mind, and I probably will. But for now, I think I want to adopt.” Lol 😂
That's cool that Charity was able to be there with you. Such a precious story and I'm glad all went well. And the kids being able to be right there after.
I'm so glad you shared this. I'm expecting my 5th in Novemeber/December and was doing a search for other 5th time births. My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th were planned homebirths, and that's the plan for this one too. I wonder if you were experiencing uterine fatigue? I always start drinking red raspberry leaf tea once a day from the day I start third trimester. When I go into labor, I drink a cup of tea, and then sometimes again later in the labor. My 3rd was the one I was expecting to go fast and then it was so slow. My 4th I thought would be slower like my 3rd, but the midwife arrived just 7 minutes before the baby was born! Anyways, thanks for sharing. I just love birth stories
He’s so sweet and what an amazing job recounting all the details! So special to have it all recorded like this! I’ve had two hospital and two home births and absolutely love having them at home...maybe there will be a fifth in our future but at this point we are happy with the four ;) Blessings to you, Julie!
I totally understand! I’m certain we’re content stopping at five, but having a baby is such a miraculous event, it’s always a little bit sad to be done! 😊
My 6th labor (homebirth) was much different than my last 3 homebirths! Once labor started , babies were normally born within 3-7 hours like you. With my 6th my contractions started at 1030p , around 6min apart standing up in the shower, 12min laying down. Around 5am I was like ok not sure what’s going on. Nothing seems to be progressing like my last 3 so I fell asleep, until about 630am bc they spaced out to 20min. I did the miles circuit when I woke up, contractions would be around 5-6min when standing/showering, 10-15min laying down… spaced like that all day!!!! My midwife texted me around 5p thinking it was just prodromal labor, but here’s the kicker- they felt like transition contractions!!!! Although they were 10m apart sitting!!! Well I ended up doing the miles circuit 2x more throughout the day and then at 630p I took a Tylenol PM and said I’m just going to sleep and have baby tomorrow lol.well at 7:40p we put the kids to bed and I put on my labor playlist - praise and worship music- to try and fall asleep. They were 10min apart and after 2 of them , so 8p, I knew it was time. I felt the Holy Spirit urge me to get up!! (I know weird haha). Well I stood up and they were 2 min apart!!! I went into shower and my husband comes in at 8:20p and said I thought you were going to bed!!! I said they are 2 min apart lasting a minute, I’m pushing a bit during height of contraction but if I go lay down they’ll prob be 10min apart again. He’s like call the midwife!!!!! I’m like no what if they space out again. Lol thankfully he texted her… my water broke at 8:45 after my first push in the shower and I said to my husband “my water broke…she’s coming” he was like get to the bed and out of the shower!!! I was like ok help me! Haha I got into bed, my midwife walked in at 8:47p and she was born at 8:49p. It was so beautiful!!! Her hand was under her chin, and I think her hand was at her face all day and that’s why she took so long. The miles circuit 3x throughout the day helped her get into the perfect position. So when I was telling my midwife at 5p they felt like transition contractions, they probably were- just 10min apart bc her hand on face positioning haha. My 5th was a beautiful home birth. Normal. Contractions started at 3a and she was born at 9:32am. Midwife walked in at 9a and I asked her to check me bc I wasn’t sure if I should push. She told me you can push if you feel the urge but I’ll check you. She put gloves on at 9a and the next contraction I started pushing!!! Haha she didn’t even check me. I just needed to hear her say that. She was my biggest a 10lb baby!!!! And can you believe I didn’t tear either! Fourth was so sweet. My midwife came at 5p and did a membrane sweep and then went home. Came back around 9p and he was born around 11p! It was a super easy labor until those last 30min. My 3rd was born at home into daddy’s arms on accident.contractions were 5min apart from 130p to 2p then switched to 2 1/2m apart and she was born at 4:15p. Lol! 2nd was a birth center, got there and he was born 3 1/2 hours labor. I was in the shower until it was time to push. 1st my water broke and contractions never started so the birth center had to transfer me and I got on Pitocin, she was born within 12 hours. Very hard labor without epidural and with pitocin, with being my first and especially compared to my others lol! Anyhow congrats! Beautiful birth story!!! Love positive homebirth stories. All of our children are about the same age, we just had our 6th earlier in the year though (after a 4 year break from the “baby”.) she’s been a sweet welcomed gift from God. So thankful! Well Continue shining your light for Jesus!
I think natural birth is probably more painful for the people watching than the mother, lol. I didn't think mine was that bad, but when I look back at the video, I can barely watch. Beautiful family, and birth story. It is comforting to know that even a 5th time mom can have false labor. Im almost 39 weeks, but having had my first at 38, I start timing contractions daily only to have them stop.
Such a beautiful story. Thank you so much for sharing. My oldest was a bit crushed when we found out #6 was a boy. She desperately wanted a sister. Now that he's been here for almost 3 years she says she cannot imagine him being anything other than another brother. They have such a sweet bond.
I agree! My midwife was wondering the same thing, with how long I took to progress. But there was no evidence of it...would totally make sense though! 😊
I agree. My 6th was start and stop labour for 2 weeks. When the midwife checked me they felt his ear. They shuffled my belly(im sure theres a technical term) and he ended up being a face presentation. Worst and longest labour of all my kids
I've been following your channel for a long time because of thm. I loved hearing your birth story. I am expecting now and having been considering letting my 6 year old girl be with me so loved getting your daughters perspective. Thank you for great videos and interesting content! I'd love to hear how and why your choose your children's names. Blessings on your family.
It definitely depends on their personality and how it would affect them, but my daughter was SO good! I’m glad you’re still following me, even though I haven’t done a video on THM in so long! 😆
My 5th was the strangest labour too. My water broke by itself with a Braxton-hicks, and then nothing. I had to go to hospital because I was already overdue, and stayed the night with no event. The next day at around noon they had to induce with pitocin as I still wasn't having any contractions! I gave birth about 7 hours later which is fast for me, but it was only because I was completely induced with pitocin---something I never had done before. So yeah, those 5th babies, hey! Lol. Congratulations again. He is just so precious!
My oldest (8) was in the hospital, supposed to be birth center... no epidural, induced... sooo intense! Second (7) was birth center! Loved it, got there and had him 3 1/2 hours later. 3rd was supposed to be birth center came in 2hr45m at home, midwife got there 10m After. 4th home and was around 4 hours. Then my 5th at home was around 2 1/2 hours. I have my birth video of my 4th and 5th on TH-cam (safe for little eyes) if you’d like to watch :) I love home birth and I’m actually planning on becoming a certified professional midwife... but with motherhood and homeschooling ...schooling..... lots of prayer should get me there 😍😂
Congratulations!! Loved loved loved your birth story. My last was 10lb2oz and I didn’t tear!! I think it was because I did very slow when she started crowning also. Pushing on your back is actually one of the worst ways to push because you are working against gravity..I’m surprised your midwife said that. He’s super cute!! God bless you and your family!
Ooh I have another question for you! What do you use for language arts? We are using my fathers world for everything but can’t decide what program I want to use for LA
AWE! Wesley is so cute!!!
Watching old videos cause I'm missing you! Lol I did just watch your grocery haul and this came up so I am listening to your baby boy story. Time flies!
That is so cool that Charity got to see her little brother be born! Enjoyed hearing your birth story ☺️

Just got to listen to your birth story with Wesley!

How special! I love birth stories! How awesome Charity got to be there!
There’s nothing like a good birth story! So sweet!
Loved hearing this, Julie! 💖 So so sweet that Charity was there too - so special! "I'm just gonna adopt" 😂 XX
What a sweet birth story! I enjoyed hearing it! :)

Congratulations on #5!!! Definitely possible...my fourth labour was so fast and easy, so it was surprising to have this one be so different 😊
He is so adorable!!! Almost makes me want another!! I have 11, oldest will be 18 in January and the youngest just turned 10 months!!
Wow!! Expecting a baby is almost like anticipating Christmas to me...it’s hard to not want another 😆
Oh God, I sooo enjoyed this video... you are sooo sweet.. Congratulations on your new baby!!

Homebirths make me sooo nervous! So glad everything went well momma! We are new to your channel and have a channel of our own!
Amazing story! Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations!! 💙
That was so good! That's interesting that it was so different than your other birth. Sounds like you handled it great though!

Oh and The funny thing is also, my worship labor playlist was exactly 1 hour 20min, so she was born on the last song!!! 😂❤

It’s amazing how every birth can be so different, for the same mother! 😊
Well done! you did amazing, 5 kids! Wow! I have 4 and my 4th was longest and hardest too. Wesley is very cute!
So interesting! Thanks 😊
