I went to see the movie the fans in the theater that I went to were REALLY into it, cheering every time there was a cameo or an Easter egg. There were some Easter eggs I didn’t get because I’m not tooooo into fnaf but I can say it’s definitely a Niche movie with minimal jump scares. It’s mainly the concept of fnaf that creeps me out 😅
I haven’t seen it yet but from what ppl have said I respect tht they kept it true to the games and fans. Most video game movies give a big fuck you to the fans
As a fan of the series, the raw concept is what they should've leaned more towards as its where the horror comes from. Scary looking animatronics who need to move around at night in order to keep their rotors and tech working properly. If they see an adult human at night, they mistakenly see that person as an endoskeleton missing a suit and will try to forcefully shove that person inside of one. This is a believable and frightening concept. They should've saved all the MCI, William Afton, and secrets for the sequels. The community spent years trying to piece together the story of the games while the movie just frontloads all its exposition onto Vanessa.
@@KiddRyzeDaGawd well said, I had to watch a video about the lore of fnaf just to understand parts in the movie that everyone else understood but I didn’t. Unfortunately and fortunately I studied deeper into the lore after the movie…….A very creepy concept indeed.
if anything i am looking forward to a sequel, it's above average like a 6/10, there's room to grow maybe they get the annabelle effect, first one was bad but the second is really good.
The fans loved it b/c of the cameos but critics… fan or not most agree that the movie was mid. I read some comments and some folks talk so bad about the movie that they enjoyed it 😂
I’m a horror gaming fan and a horror movie fan somewhat. I’ll have to check it out on streaming when I have absolutely nothing else to do with my time.
Yeah it’s a shame. You aren’t the only person to call this movie mid. I don’t watch horror but when I heard of a fnaf movie I had hopes. Well, that’s what I get I guess lol
Honestly the movie was enjoyable for me, but here are my criticisms. Josh Hutcherson, for what I’ve seen him capable to portraying, fell flat at times. His character needed to portray more emotion for the audience to sympathize with him and understand his conflicts. You need to outwardly portray those inner conflicts to make the hard hitting scenes work. Elizabeth Lail did her part in conveying a conflicted daughter of a serial killer well enough. The long hard scene of Matthew Lillard on the phone with Mike was also unnecessary and gives the villain away too soon. I also felt the ending was rushed and could have been portrayed better. More drama between Vanessa and Afton. Maybe scenes portraying how abusive he really was to her (verbally as he criticizes and tries manipulating her). The stab felt too soon. The intro also should have begun during the disappearance of the kids to setup the location and mystery instead of the security guards death. Feel free to critique my takes :)
This coming from someone who kept up all fnaf games since 2014 but not the books. Anyways imma speak my opinion about it. Can we talk about the unnecessary added characters, the table fort and Vanny being William daughters???? Unless vanny is actual the eldest secret child William never talked about, then i get it ig but vanny didn’t comes into the picture until security breach. We didnt know William had kids until like fnaf 4 but idk these the things that really didn’t sit right with me. Unpopular opinion: i think the fans are settling for this movie and not actually seeing any issues with it because we waited so long for it to come out so, they accepting it for what it is. Correct me on anything if im wrong about it. I give it a 8/10 the movie had potential.
I think people forget that a movie can be bad but you still enjoy it and vis versa. There’s plenty of movies I think are not good movies but I enjoy them anyways. Not everything is black and white
If I didn’t know anything about the series, I’d say the film was mid. But being a fan since I was 7 years old really made it 100x more enjoyable. Regardless of who you are though most people agree it’s overhated serverly
Bruh, its bad and funny enough that you have people stealing FNAF posters while out in public. Now you have people fighting each other in the cinema while watching this movie?! 😂😂🤣
You must not have known the lord this movie is based on “dream theory” if you watch matpat or into the lore of FNAF YOUD LOVE THIS MOVIE but if you only played the first game you won’t like this movie cause you know nothing
This movie is literally kids bop saw 💀
Story was odd and confusing, but so was the story in the game. That said, as an FNAF fan, I enjoyed the hell out of the movie.

Finding out for yourself is just as simple as 1 2 3 dope breakdown TBH
For anyone wondering and not wanting to pay in theaters, it’s streaming on Peacock.
Always a quality drop

Can’t believe they got a movie yet we’re still waiting for a Gears of War Adaptation smh
Hopefully the next movie is a banger b/c of the money they accumulated plus more

Did you also know. That the series probably has more books than gams at this point.
