@ashe2258 For the benefit of those not immediately familiar with Japan's music scene: he's responsible for the scores of such shows as _Attack on Titan, Blue Exorcist, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn_ (part of why Monolith tapped him for this, I'm sure), _Kill La Kill,_ and more recently, _Solo Leveling._ Unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard _some_ of Sawano's work.
This OST is so fucking INSANE. Xenoblade X is such a different beast in its music because the composer is entirely different. Where the music of 1-3 was composed in-house, the composer of Xenoblade X was outsourced to Hiroyuki Sawano, famed composer of many anime like Kill la Kill, Gundam, and Attack on Titan.
Takahashi heard what he did with Gundam Unicorn and asked Sawano if he wanted to score a videogame with mechs. Sawano was all for it since it would be a new experience AND because he had played Xenogears. He credits the game with solidifying his style (he composed the OST before AoT season 1).
Ugh X has such an amazing ost! Love the techno-rock, rap, and hauntingly beautiful vocals. Some of the other vocal osts are incredible too, so def check them out! Hiroyuki Sawano is GOATED

But the female vocalist can't even get through a sentence before the male vocalist feels the need to chime in. Here the lyrics seem to devolve into a screaming match over how to move past this, with neither side listening to the other at all
Xenoblade soundtracks are always something special and X certainly delivers as well. Honestly the entire 4,5h soundtrack is 10/10 though some people say there is exactly one bad track. A blurb on the story which should help give some context to the music here. So the year is 2054, an intergalactic war has arrived at Earth's doorstep. Humanity fearing for their lives finally takes the leap and flees home, leaving the Earth behind. Our home, reduced ash and rubble in the blink of an eye. We follow the story of the White Whale, which had been traveling amongst the stars for a couple years when finally the past caught up. The ship took heavy damage and was caught in the gravitational pull of a nearby planet, forcing it to crash land, the ship breaking up as it fell to the surface. Now, the survivors are in a race against time to find what they call the Life Hold Core before an alien group known as the Ganglion find it, or face extinction. The Life Hold Core is also running off of limited power, hence the race against time. You'll join the cast of characters in their base, New Los Angeles, as they explore this new planet and home, Mira.

You know the song is good when she can't contain herself and starts singing as an echo xD
So. Fun fact. The vocals in No.EX 01 and Wir Filegen is sang in Broken German.
Yea it's native Japanese Speakers trying to sing in German but screwed up plenty of the pronunciations. But it still sounds nice to folks who don't understand German I guess.
J.R.R.Tolkien created Elvish, Dwarvish and the Black Speech for his Middle Earth series.
Sawano Hiroyuki created Gerpanese for his music.
Please more Xenoblade X reaction, the first part of The key we've lost would be great!
23:43 don't worry, Xeno X does that to people, it's normal!

NLA Day theme *I just have to know what you think of this... thing lol*
Sawano's compositions just have a way of grabbing you by the hand and yeeting you al the way across the Cosmos. He's come a long way from making medical drama OSTs. Wonder if he's done any Xenoblade concerts.
GRAAAAAAAAH HIROYUKI SAWANO MY GOAT
UH
UH
YEAH~
Xenoblade X is special. If you have any interest in playing a Xenoblade game, don't start with X, it's complexity will melt your brain. Defintiive Editon of 1 would be best starting point.
I started with X and I have to say none of the other xeno games have really scratched that same itch yet (including gears and saga)
You've only just scratched the surface of this one. Part 2 or we riot!
Xenoblade Chronicles X is a game of all time
New LA night time theme is a shorty but goody first time I heard it in game a had to stop and appreciate.
We need Xenoblade 2 ost part 2, there's still a lot of god like music that you need to hear, please 😄🙏
Thank you for your reaction to OST by Hiroyuki Sawano.
The soundtrack won a videogame award in 2015, just saying 😊

Wait it until you hear N市L街A (especially the night version).
Pls do slime rancher next (note:slime rancher is a farming/exproring game)
You should react to the OST for 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim.
Where is the MNN+@0 (Manon) song? It is one of the best, okay? The people that suggested the song forgot it, you know? A part 2 of this video should include it, okay? If you are reading this comment with a chipmunk voice, you should search for help, right?
