Whenever I receive an email with a link, I hover over the link and look in the status bar to see what the REAL link is because often the link you see is not the link behind the scenes.
Many doctors offices want your SS #. There is no reason to do this. Rather than argue with them about it, I just put in a fake number. If their systems get hacked you don't have to worry.
Hmm...I don't remember a doctor asking for my SSN, but it's been a while since I've filled out an intake form. I definitely don't understand why it would be needed.

Yeh, but after all your accounts are hacked and they set up google ads, and facebook ads, and tried to buy a computer with your paypal, and amazon gift cards, got into your bank and tried to zelle themselves all your savings, then you realize it's a real threat. I am not someone I'd have thought would be worth it for anyone to bother hacking into, but it happened.
