Miles is very good but we can't afford 2 first round draft picks. We need an upgrade on OLine and secondary to start.
It does not make sense to give up more than one first round pick for a 29 year old player. Cleveland has to trade him because he has been absolute class for them. Washington is the best place for him to go, so Cleveland should make it work out.

The thing with trading Allen and or payne is that you then weeken your interior d line and I would dare say u would have similar results as this past season. The defense had pretty good interior pressure with not much outside so how would a reversal be any better. It might be better to restructure some contract and extend terry to get more cap space. I haven't agreed with everything the gm has done especially chinn over kurl but I trust he knows better than I do

We are a year ahead of schedule. These coaches performed minor miracles with the secondary and front four we had. You can usually hide one weakness group, but to hide two and still get to the conference champ first year? Obviously it helped that the O averaged over 4 TDs a game, but still...
I could see re-doing McLaurin's contract and trading a DT to free up more cap.
Garrett would be wanted by us more than arguably any other winning team. We have the cap space (Dallas in cap hell), we have the best QB in the NFC, not NE who would like him too and has cap space. There are other teams that have cap space, the NFC North, but I think we have the best culture/coaches, Detroit lost all their coordinators, Bears changed HCs, Minn is Minn with Darnold. Not sure about GB with what they got for Rodgers, but they have Love too.
Dude it makes total sense for the Browns to pull the trigger on that deal. They can go out and get Sam Darold or R Wilson for a temp fix. Also, with the Garrett cash they can get other free agents, while retaining multiple 1st round picks to go out and get a young QB.

Myles Garrett is doing Cleveland a Massive service by asking for a trade, it's like they weren't smart enough to build around him but he's getting himself a SB shot while letting them replace him with Abdul Carter who will be pretty close to him,with the ammo to build out the team with a pick late 1st to add another building block and setting them up to be bad enough next year to get a real QB1(Drew Allar, Manning(Maybe IDK), or an ascending Iamaleava, Ty Simpson or Ty Thompson) and another late building block. @@damienwyche2105 I was referring to the price we will pay to acquire him from the Browns. The general consensus is that negotiations will probably start at two 1st rounders and go up from there. Although, his performance does make him due for a new contract. He signed a contract that carries no guarantees moving forward because that was what the market dictated at that time. So as of now, the only guarantee is, whoever trades for him will not be paying him 20 million. It will be more in the ballpark of 30 million

Superbowls are won in the trenches, our strength is at QB. Going into this offseason I was thinking about moving Allen, now I think we should keep him & having our D-Line be our strength. Garrett, Allen, Payne, Newton, Armstrong. You can’t double everybody so now our biggest investment will pay off and our secondary will be able to get turnovers consistently with this strong of a pass rush. Nothing but dawgs with an Anytime, Anyone & Anywhere mentality. JD5 won’t have to have as many game winners, the defense will be winning games lessening the load for our young QB
With Garrett pushing 30 .. I wouldn't over pay for his services ..

Two first and two seconds would be at least three starters. Would you trade Sainristil, Terry, and Quan? That’s essentially the trade. Three to four starters for Garrett 👎
I think you need a subsequent video in which you explain what you would do alternatively with $20 Million over two years and two first round draft choices and a third.

Personally I think you will surprise yourself once you do this and come around to thinking our high cap space should be used to sign FAs and use our draft choices for ourselves. You will realize the draft choices are worth more than you thought.
I think it is interesting, for example, that Micah Parsons will be a FA for 2026.
I think we need more power in the DL (as well as the OL) and he is a player that typically it takes two OL to cover.
It is going to take more than two great players in the OL and DL to get past the Eagles next year.

Myles garrett is good but every year he has more penalty then sacks so those sack don't matter if he just gives it back up. He has 14 sack 18 penalty 13 offsides 2 encroachment 2 roughing the passer 1 facemask. He also takes 50 percent of plays off. If I where to trade for him it will be just for the 29th pick that's it .

I think, having already traded some capital for lattimore, and still having so many holes in the team, it definitely weakens that strength of a myles garrett trade for me. Especially with this newly improved front office and coaching staff, I feel like we can get / make some great players out of the the 1st. Definitely not Myles Garrett type players, but I think we have such a shaky foundation and so many holes that we might get more out of filling all those holes. Another hidden consequence of this type of trade is the holes on the backend: a lot harder to have quality depth when you aren't picking solid draft picks and developing them behind your starters. It just depends on HOW much more than 2 first round picks we're talking. I don't think we should go much beyond that truth be told.

You also do it because the goal is to win a ring in this 4 year window while we have Daniels on a rookie cheap deal. That’s what the Seahawks did. Load the team up with talent while Jd is on a rookie deal but align all the contracts for a 2-3 year window and then when you have to start paying Jd top money you will have to start hitting on all draft picks.

Good report. One thing for sure everybody and their brother on a losing team is looking to upgrade to the Washington Redskins. Be careful now they’re on losing teams for a reason. Just because everyone says they’re good. A good player on a losing team is not necessarily a great player. Case in point Deshaun Watson he looked great in Houston. That’s because he was always down by 10 1020 points so it was they were always coming back so the defenses gave him slack. Turns out he’s a loser. So I hope they’re not quick to jump Miles Garrett.
