My confidence dip... Now I can't cover my hearing aids
Ummm… I have a little bit of a regret… for the short story, I had a haircut and now I can’t cover my hearing aids. When I feel sometimes my hearing problems are getting a bit much, or I get incredibly stressed out with it or possibly my balance isn’t too good or I’m such struggling with my hearing in general, having the option to style my hair so it masks the appearance of my hearing aids helps me feel confident and like me, Bradley! When I can cover my hearing aids it almost gives me a boost that it’s going to be okay. Sounds simple and silly to others I know, to me, it’s not and I am sure to others with hearing issues it wouldn’t be either. So usually always having my hair a certain length and style to offer flexibility is a must, if this issue for me should ever arise. But no, me being me and quick thinking took over and I decided to have a trim which turned into a huge overhaul of my hair and now I can’t cover my hearing aids. Now I don’t need to do this all the time, but when I do get these days, I like to try to style my hair to cover my hearing aids. Sometimes I never need to do this but it’s kind of comforting to know if I ever need to I can, now I can’t and it’s a bit of a panic…. Now yes, it’s probably to do with my confidence but I am working on that.
Here I tackle these concerns and really try to stay positive, after all hair grows doesn’t it so I know some day I am going to be able to cover my hearing aids if I need to in the future but right now it’s a NO GO! and to be honest I think that’s the issue not having the option and I am feeling like there’s nothing I can do to cover something I still feel so very conscience and extremely stressed out about on those days.
On a different note, the message from this clip is also think ahead and take your time when your ever thinking of changing your hairstyle, and possibly if you’re thinking of going shorter possibly do it over a series of haircuts, don’t just jump into something so extreme… Food for thought of course across life not just our hairstyle!
