Saw him do it in Concert on his " Blue Moon Swamp " Tour in Nashville early 2000's . Him and the band killed it ! It was the first time I had ever heard him do that song . Loved it ever since . I think John Fogerty is one of the greatest Rock Singers ever along with being a kick ass Songwriter . As Chuck Berry would say " He's got the gift . "
This song has got you in the intro. By the time he sings the first words you are already on board. Writing songs this simple and this catchy isn't simple. It may look it, but just try doing it. And John Fogarty hasn't just done it once, he's built a career out of doing it. Appreciate him now while you can still see him live.
Fogerty is a great performer. I got the Premonition album in 2012 and I've been hooked ever since. I'll come back and listen to this album and it'll bring back some memories!
in 1979 i was 16 just got my licens to drive. this song was all over the radio in l.a. it reminds me of cruzin westwood, hollywood, whitter blvd and van nuys, life was great back then thanks for the song.
I have always loved this song. This was a great concert and especially watching "The Waters" backup. Listen to Keith Urban and Fogerty duet with this one. Excellent.

+swinetrek He hits too hard, and he's a bit monotonous here, but I dig his serious deep pocket. Leaves spaces for the music to breathe, like Chad Smith or Mickey Curry. Or John Bonham.

Those are the Waters, who have performed on more recordings than anyone else in the business including hundreds of gold and platinum. Maybe you should know what you are talking about before you shoot your mouth off
That man loves music. What a great talent.
I had the opportunity to meet John a couple of times. A solid nice man.
Let’s make this song go viral please 🥺👌🏽 I love it that much please make it viral ❤ it’ll sound good for 2023 and on
John Fogerty... one of the greatest living rock icons of all times...
AWESOME version, TIGHT backups!!!

JF whether you saw him play 50 years ago or yesterday he's never lost his ability to rock the house apart. I wish him always good fortune and love.
Can the human mind imagine a tighter performance? Love this
I’m glad to be alive listening to this song rn cause fuck it sounds good 👌🏽 ❤
This song is soooooo good

This is my favorite John Fogerty song! The original version was released on his 1975 self-titled album, which is my favorite album of his.
This I think is my favorite John Fogerty Song of all time! It kicks some "BIG ASS"! No one like this iconic singer!
1975? I thought this was in Centerfield. Gonna check it out. Thanks.
Oh wow I came to it through Dave Edmunds off his record 'Twangin''... what a jam!
@@willisryan4576 I found that version later and love it! Someone should do a cover that blends the cool stuff from both versions.
john fogerty is the best
This version is 10 times better than the studio version!
Fogerty is a great performer. I got the Premonition album in 2012 and I've been hooked ever since. I'll come back and listen to this album and it'll bring back some memories!
So much energy to his live recordings. He feeds off of the crowd and gives it back to them, and the kickass backup singers are just icing on the cake.
I have seen John in concert 2x here in New Jersey and yes he does bring the ENERGY....

JOHN NEW WAVE SONG!
Volve a la ARG. te esperamos......
Is this a version that showed up on any live albums? Anybody's help appreciated.
HI! Yes, "premonition" is the first live álbum released by John Fogerty on 1998.
@@MySweetGeorge22 thank you, Paul. Just noticed your thumb nail picture. Layla and other songs. (yes? ) cool anyway it goes
Or Layla and Other Love Songs, if memory serves. All the Best
@@johncook7281 it's a great album!
If you want to hear the original studio recording of this song, check out John Fogerty's 1975 self-titled album.
Five thumbs down? ah ah ah ah ah ah ah Who's this clowns with negative?
I bet it was Saul Zaentz.
Kenny is so damned good
+David Grout He's a bin basher. I don't know what JF see's in him. There are far better drummers out there.
+swinetrek He hits too hard, and he's a bit monotonous here, but I dig his serious deep pocket. Leaves spaces for the music to breathe, like Chad Smith or Mickey Curry. Or John Bonham.
Or Doug Clifford lol
+swinetrek Haven't heard of him. Max Weinberg comes to mind, though
are you taking the piss? The CCR drummer!
Who is this bass player?
Great artist but Edmund's version blows this away!
Yes
It doesn’t blow it away. And what a silly thing to say.
@@stephenfeldman8104 Blows it away by a million miles!
@@wombatwilly1002 okay but Fogertys version blows it by a trillion miles then >:)
Love John Fogerty but i think Dave Edmunds version is slightly better on this one!
I like the Dave Edmund version better. The vocals here sound strident.
Please jettison the back up singers.

Why? They are great!
he should dump the drummer. Overrated and just a bin basher. Doug was far better.
Dave Edmunds version is Much better sorry John
Rick Nelson recorded 2 versions with very different tempos and arrangements that are very good, too. Fogerty has mentioned them in interviews.
Dave Edmunds version is better
Never!!!
Well, better than this version anyway
Remember to awakening, Samantha.
Horseshit!
@@mikelewis3271 NO. this is the best version. Then, I heard Keith Urban and Fogerty sing. Excellent version.
