"The Hand of Man" is the show title. As I understood it at the time, the idea is that sometime in the distant (or not so distant depending on what you believe) future, the hand of man will have made the planet all but uninhabitable. No more race, no more discernable difference in appearance and we'll all be struggling just to breathe and survive, our bodies now dying, skin pale, discolored facial features, and the need for a mask to filter what little air we can still breathe. The tiny vestige of pure energy (the ball that moves throughout) the only hope left. Man tries everything. Ultimately, it is the selfish need to be the one with the power that dooms humanity, not the source itself.
Ok this is just my opinion for whatever it’s worth. I think this a very well executed show. It’s clean visually and musically. It definitely deserved gold. I just don’t like how it looks. To me, it’s ugly. Which is probably the point? It’s supposed to have a certain aesthetic which I get but I still don’t no personally enjoy it. I prefer broken city’s show this year way more. To me it’s more easy to watch. But I still respect this show for what it worth.
It's supposed to be ugly and dirty because the show signifies the end of humanity and its collapse. The masks symbolized oxygen and how little there is left.
that commitment of the shaved heads tho.
TheXx1nfinityxX Probably bald caps
Zyther nope. definitely shaved heads
they all shaved their heads for real..my son is a member. :)
what about the girls with long hair? did they all have to shave?
a few did and a few pulled their hair back real tight.
3:53 the guy that fell on the ground in the back ensemble got THROWN into that marimba 😂 (the 2nd row of marimbas)
Cameron Herrick it was apart of the show he/she did it at all of them
A truly jaw dropping show! The keyboards moving was so cool XD
Love the drum setup on the marimbas. Keeps the pit involved in the show in the parts where the music requires them not to play keys.
still imo the best indoor percussion show that has been performed
ShutuP ! It’s a toss up between this and Rhythm X 2013
ShutuP ! I believe it was called Man in the Arena
I guessing you're too young to have seen MCM 2011.
Nah you can’t beat a crashy bongo
Idk pulse this year was freakin nuts!!! All top 5 had insanely next level shows.
The person playing bass 5 is my school’s drum tech
The use of masks was truly ahead of its time
shut up
Prophetic
@@THEnelsonbruhs XD fr
This one is my favorite because it sounds really cool and the marimbas sound great
4:33 - 5:25 is the best part must watch !!!
100% the best part, I got chills right there
OMG IS NO ONE GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE CYMBALS AT 5:20
rhythm x cymbals 2022 check them out
0:32 the tenor entrance never gets old. So fire
This Called of a Totality, Great Team Awesome!
We need to sit down and talk about the god quad gang
They predicted 2020
My favorite is between this and Pulse 2017
So agreed
Ive always said ... If a drumline did Silence of the the lambs with the George hopkins masks would be CRAZY
and we're down
I'm assuming 3 marimbas are connected somehow. Can somebody tell me if they are connected(by the drums I'm assuming)?
Jairo Perez they were connected. We built custom frames that would join the marimbas and hold the drums between them
2:14
for the love of god people!!!! better yet 2:29
Insane show
MY MUSIC TEACHET DIRECTED IT :D
2:25 the guy in the front right saved the show
It’s like if god of war had a marching band
I was thinking borderlands
MCM loves their fives.
1:05-1:25 favorite part
Very cool! Great work from everyone. As someone who knows nothing about this, what was the inspiration for this set? What was the theme?
Music city Mystique has some info on their website about this show

@@gfcsdad do you know what the colors represent?
What place did this show get?

Yes! Why did the original owner delete the video?

Ik what the show means in general, but what do the colors mean?
If you’re talking about the orb I’m pretty sure they represent resources
Blue = untapped natural resources
Green= kinda harvested resources
Yellow= almost depleted resources
Red= completely depleted resources
Ha wonder if any of the ensemble members brought these masks out of retirement for COVID🤭
I’m thinking the same thing
This is not mystique watch disciples that's 2018 I believe
Gerald Oharabennett lol what
This is McM and this is 2017 lol
