I just had to watch this again. The dutch irises I got on Clearance this winter and planted are sending up blue/green spikes. Hooray!

I also grew pink panther and it looks exactly like yours-beautiful, but definitely lavender, not pink. I loved seeing eye of the tiger and red ember. I wouldn’t be drawn to either of those, but they have so much depth and interest.

PRETTY! Mine have done well this year. More than in previous years so I can definitely see them naturalizing. That's totally gratifying to this gardener's heart.

I have to agree about the foliage. Nothing special, but the brightness of Dutch iris, is special indeed. Do they need to be divided? Try Silver beauty, Valentine and/or Golden Harvest.

The first year I planted them I got a single bloom per stalk like tulips. The second year they came up I was glad to see them back again and I don’t remember noticing abundant blooms, but the third year (this year), I was amazed to see multiple blooms on a stalk following in succession kind of like a bearded iris does. Wow!

I grew these for the first time this year. I only tried one variety as I didn’t know how it would go. Seeing your trial plus a good experience with mine will entice me to order more of these. I’ll try some of the others next time. Thanks for the tour!

Lovely! I grow only perennial irisis, I love the foliage texture to, not just the flowers.

I DO like the blue, and lavender colors of the Iris.
    Very, very nice!!
I don't grow that type of Iris bcuz my soil doesn't stay wet enough, so it's always nice to have a viewing of them.
As for the brown flowers in
    this world, well...
    They're not really my
    cup of tea.
I do think they are kinda pretty, but that's just bcuz they're flowers, and all flowers are pretty!
But of coarse, that's just me!
    To each his own.
And your vidography skills make even the brown flowers look fabulous!!! 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎

Not sure about irises. I have some dark blue ones which look good in the vase with bright green euphorbia but some of the colours available are a bit weird. They do fill a gap in the season though.

The one flower I can't grow. Every year I plant a bag of them. Some years I get foliage, sometimes nothing comes up. One year I got 1 yellow bloom ( I think I planted a bag of 50). I dont know if critters are eating the bulbs, but even if they dont, I just get the spikey foliage. I can grow glads, tulips and daffodils just fine. I have tried spring planting and fall planting. I dont know what I am doing wrong. I am in zone 5-6b. Any tips?

Have you ever tried growing Bearded Iris?
I don't know what the microclimate of your yard is, but mine is on the hot, dry side.
I have Bearded Iris that perennialize quite easily.
They don't look exactly like the Siberian Iris, but they do come in many great blue colors!
I have never been able to grow Siberian Iris, and I think it's bcuz they prefer more moisture than what I can give.
Also, the Bearded Iris can be quite picky about being moved. So I'm wondering if Siberian Iris have a picky feature too?
For instance, only on rare occasions have my Bearded Iris bloomed the Spring AFTER being transplanted. It doesn't matter what time of year they get moved (I tried ALL the seasons!) they just take time off from blooming afterward.
And by time off, I mean an entire YEAR!
They just plain do not like being moved! And so they throw their little fit, and refuse to bloom until the following year!
As a matter of fact, I learned something new about them this Spring. I live in Texas, and as I'm sure you heard about the big, giant, freeze we had this year.
That freeze happened in mid February, and lasted a solid week. The timing of that even was really bad for the garden.
Plus, the whole thing started off with a thick layer of ice. And I think the Bearded Iris agrees with me about the timing bcuz it was within 2 or 3 weeks of the usual Iris flowering time.
Well, during that storm I thought FOR SURE I would loose all the Bearded Iris! They weren't covered with anything! Not even mulch!
(They aren't big fans of mulch)
Afterall, they are planted SUPER shallow w their tuber actually showing above the soil, which is how they like it.
Oh - that's another thing, they won't flower if they are planted with their tuber under the soil. They're very picky.
So after the freeze, their leaves, which stay up, and green all year long,
      we're STILL UP & GREEN!!
      I was amazed!!!
      Zero damage to their leaves!!
After seeing how they had survived, I half expected them to just go ahead and flower.
      But no such luck.
Here we are in May, and there still have been no Iris flowering this year.
      They grow wild all around
      my neighborhood, I've
      been watching them all,
      and nothing.
Which brings me back to my main point - they are SUPER PICKY about being disturbed!!
I think being frozen counts as a disturbing event!
However, if they stay undisturbed, they grow, multipy, and flower perfectly every year.
So I'm wondering if Siberian Iris might also have some kind of characteristic which keeps them from flowering too?
I see other gardeners on You Tube divide, and plant them every year, and they DO flower after being transplanted.
So obviously THAT transplanting is not
      the problem...
But perhaps they are picky about some other aspect?
      Like, maybe they need
      EXTRA WET conditions after transplanting?
      Or something like that?
Or maybe they want extra Nitrogen?
      Or extra Phosphorus?
I'm just wondering what extra little thing the Siberian Iris needs to be able to flower in the year after being transplanted... ?
