Melaleuca is also known as tea tree, the oil is great if you have a cold. A couple of drops on some hot water in bowl with towel over your head clears your head.

I always assumed it was for all of the adults/parents/guardians with the kids as they watched having the opportunity to go, "Hey, I remember the Shirley stuff." and maybe having an interest in buying it for nostalgia purposes.
Agreed. Second to that when I worked in a memory care unit of a care home our residence loved walk to you cartoons because there's simplistic not frustrating and happy. And they always went nuts in a good way over this Shirley Temple commercials.
About the Shirely Temple thing, it was played so often that me, a Canadian, know it just by spending every other summer at my cousin's house in New Jersey. That's like 14 days every 2 years, and I still know the animal crackers song despite not visiting them for at least 6 years now

The only time I've heard Basil pronounced like that was in The Great Mouse Detective, and I don't know if it was because they were British or if people who say it bay-sill are actually the minority.

Two things - first the combination of automate, Chests Anywhere, and Deluxe Grabber Redux makes life soooooo good; throw in Better Junimos if you want to be really lazy. Second I am also challenging myself to complete the ship everything as part of a goal to hit perfection on my modded save; I’m playing with 86 mods and really want to know where my mind was at when I decided to hurt myself with the goal of hitting perfection
How do you install mods for stardew valley? How easy is it? I’ve never played with mods on anything before except Skyrim on Xbox lol. Thank you ahead of time!
You can link geode crushers to a chest, drop in the geodes and come back later for the minerals etc. I use automate for everything in one of my saves, Mayo and cheese, wine etc.
I never use (vanilla) geode crusher. One coal each geode is way too expensive compared to Clint's 25g
If you want any of the new machine's recipes to require less grinding, you can go into the mod folder and change the recipes individually. The path is Artisan Valley Machine Goods > BigCraftables > [machine] > big-craftable

These videos are making me want to play stardew valley for the first time on PC with mods.
If you place a chest beside a fruit tree and connect it with kegs/preserves jars, you can have automated fruit preserves. I also connect my mushroom cave thingies with chests so I don't have to go in there everyday. Also, once you get an autograbber in your coops and barns, you can automate making cheese/mayo.

You should add the mod Walk Through Trellis. Makes it a lot easier for having Trellis plants on your farm.

i always wanted the shirley temple dvd set as a kid because my daycare played her movies all the time during nap time. i wished my hair was curly so i could look like her, i even cut my hair short, i would walk around singing animal crackers in my soup all the time. i was obsessed. shirley temple still holds a pretty special place in my heart.

If you struggle to get enough iron: Buy some crab pots from Willy and connect them to a chest. The caught trash can automatically be put into recycling machines while you sell the fish for profit (and to afford buying new bait before you reached level 10 for the luremaster perk if you want).
Recycling will give you so much iron ore! I have about 200 crab pots and 30 Recycling Machines automatically working for me and don't have any issues to gather iron ore.
Yes! Recycling even only 12 crab pots keeps me in plenty of iron ore, torches, cloth and refined quartz.
I have a very lit map due to all the torches. I drop them Everywhere.
Something to put on your radar with all the automate hype: Factorio is a pretty dope game about making big automated factories. You may dig it if you're enjoying the mod! :)

I have an answer about the Shirley temple ad! It's for all the grandparents who are watching their grandkids who insist on watching nickelodeon! The grandparents get so frustrated with how "annoying" and "not educational" SpongeBob, etc. Is, that they buy the Shirley temple collection set to "show you real entertainment." Bonus marketing points for the interaction where the kid doesn't know who Shirley temple is and the grandparents think it's a tragedy
Linking up the trash cans is brilliant thinking, especially early game where food can be difficult (though, bonus points for days where bars or gems are trashed).
I recently set up a recycling center off one of the little farm ponds as well. I wish I could tell the automate mod to leave the soggy paper alone so that I can use it with another mod, but going into a chest at the end of the week for bonus wood, coal, and iron, possibly even cloth? Super dope and will come in handy. I plan on hooking up a Smoker or something at some point to automate the fish pulls from the trash into usable food or money (I believe the mod wiki says the smoker ~doubles sell price of fish and cheese).
My current save just hit Summer Y1, so I don't have much in the way of processing yet, but I set up a chest, surrounded on 3 sides, with preserve jars to help keep processing up. What's rad is that I don't have to worry about space to walk and access crowded jar or keg areas since they can all pull from and push to the same chest, so mid-to-late game is going to be lit. I'm terrible about remembering to fill them when I've got a lot planned for an in-game day or two, so having that keep producing without my needing to touch things is so helpful. I plan on doing the same thing for kegs.
I've also got a small ore station of 3 furnaces with a chest where I dump all of my ore, quartz, and coal that I want smelted so that it's always working and I don't have to wait for them to process. I do try to keep some of the quartz and coal separate since I tend to need them for other things (quartz as a gift to the wizard, coal for crafting all the things), but the rest gets dumped into a chest for processing. An amazing feeling of satisfaction when I open that chest and see all the bars waiting. XD
Really looking forward to seeing what you do next, where this save takes you, et cetera. I hope someone in the other comments offers some great suggestions for the automate mod. I'm interested in some ideas as well, so I'll be keeping an eye out.
Hey, you seem like you know things about Stardew valley the automate mode. I just wanted to ask. I downloaded the automate mode like..long time ago and i have some issues with it so i updated it same as SMAPI right..so i have the newest versions of the two mods and i have problem. When i press U it shows me the red square on chest, trees etc. but i can't connect it..idk why but when i place chest near the trash it is green but when i want to join other trash bins to the chest like Therm did, then the path is still red. Do you know what is wrong? Thank you.
@@JájaKoníčková Therm mentioned that they edited the mod file to accept the path tiles as a conduit between the trash cans. I haven’t tried editing the mod file(s) myself but you can likely ask the mod creator in the community area of the mod at nexus mods what their feedback would be about doing that.

The commercial was for the grandparents watching the kids, they would know who Shirley Temple was and they might want to re-watch her stuff. There is a lot of for parents in all kids programming.
On the Shirley Temple thing - I knew solely because I did a little ballet routine to a song about the good ship lollipop or something. Also the drink.
I don't know if this works but maybe you could press u and connect the path to the bushes so you could get the berries. Also, keep up the good work, and I love the videos you make!
I love Automate, but my town chests keep getting walked into when I'm SURE I put them out of the NPC paths
I found in vanilla that a chest tucked in next to the stardrop inn works for me. It's on the left side below the light post and above the bush.
Also I have another tucked similarly at Elliott's house and one to the left of Robin's house behind the tree in the front yard.

yep, same exact commercial in the 90's except on vhs instead of dvd. they didn't change the commercial at all
Another machine idea i use: get a Coop/barn and Put a chest in there connected to an Autograbber and Mayo Machines/cheese Press/etc. (+ any machine from the ppja collection that can process animal produce) and just let it do its thing. You still need to pet your animals though, unless you also get an Auto petter, but it's still some very easy money.

You are a night person like myself. I’m 40 and my sleep cycle does the exact same thing. I read something once that it’s due to needing someone to be awake to keep the group safe in the night. So some people are naturally morning people and easily keep that rhythm and some like us are night owls. How correct is the science?? Unsure 😂 but interesting none the less. Waited for a couple episodes so I could binge during crafting. Keep up the great work!!

My grandma had us watch all of Shirley Temple’s movies when we were kids because she was her favorite. I still have Heidi on VHS.
I'm a 78-mod Stardew Valley player, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I haven't figured out how to make the Automate mod work with the added goods and artisan machines. There might have to be some code added and/or talking to the developers of Automate for you to make this awesomeness happen. I know the added stuff from SVE works with Automate, so I'm sure there's a way to make it happen.

An Idea for an automated machine could be a fish pond machine. Build a few fish ponds, connect them to a chest and that chest to a few preserve jars for easy aged roe.
Another thing is that the automate mod allows you to use casks outside of the cellar by connecting them to a chest and putting wine/cheese in it. The casks will pull the produce from the chest regardless of whether you're in a cellar or not. I've set up my quarry for the purpose of aging produce!

If you do the worm bin, crab pot, recycling machine, chest layout, then add a canning machine to it, and it will turn all the fish caught into canned fish (which is more profit than selling the fish straight)
