    41:18 It has an analogy with mechanical engineering and Newton's third law: "For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction"; that is, a force or forces (F1, F2, etc) are exerted on a body, then at the body constraints there will be a reaction (R) equal and opposite to the sum of applied forces, such that R-(F1+F2)=0; there are many analogies in engineering like this.

    Great Video. Could you show how to solve some practical problem like choosing the right cap and inductor for impedance matching of 450 Ohm load with 50 Ohm power source at 433Mhz or something similar real world problem with real values that we can test later with NanoVNA

    • @zetadoop8910

      To make it a bit simpler there is SimSmith program. It may automatically find solution. So you will insert these values in MicroCap or LTSpice and later solder that board.

    Hi Eddie (I believe?) I just started downloading the MicroCap SW and have yet to get into it but wanted to let you know I did fire off an email to Spectrum to let them know that I and others appreciate them putting this into the public domain. It would have been so easy for them to have just shut it all down and not been bothered; so to me it shows a love they have of their legacy product. And thank you for both letting know and making tutorials to get us going with what appears to be an impressive tool. Anyway thanks and 73...

    Hi Eddie, Thanks for the videos you make. I have watched many of them already and will continue watching more. I especially like the Micro-cap videos, i have downloaded the software and are using it to improve my audio amplifier knowledge. Could you perhaps make some audio amp design videos and simulate the different building blocks with Micro-Cap. This really helps with the understanding of electronics. The PSU is also another area of interest to me. I mainly have interest in analogue electronics although PIC-micro and Arduino makes things more easier to make more complicated projects. Again, thanks for sharing you're knowledge and please continue with the videos. Peet from South Africa.

    I was wondering about using motor run capacitors say 3 50uF on the end of a isolation transformer or inverter as a battery type backup of a scenario so you get clean constant supply to your transformer amplifier a bit like a re generator. Could you use the capacitors in that way to storing some energy and keeping the mains constant?

    • @KissAnalog
      @KissAnalog  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you can use caps to filter the AC but not to store it. Unless you mean after converted to DC? Great question John!

    • @johnsweda2999
      @johnsweda2999 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@KissAnalog I thought motor run caps are AC? Motors like air conditioning fridges run on AC current motor run caps change the phase of the AC isn't that there job and hold current. I'm confused now maybe somebody will know

    • @KissAnalog
      @KissAnalog  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johnsweda2999 You are right - they are AC capacitors. And they do change the phase. Motors are inductive which makes the current lag behind the voltage and the caps make the current lead the voltage. Used together the hope is that the voltage and current are back in alignment for max power. Does that make sense? I think this is a great discussion for a video;)

    • @KissAnalog
      @KissAnalog  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! I can tell you that Microcap was a $4700 product right up to when the owner retired and decided to give it away. LTSpice has always been free, but many purchased Microcap anyway - as I did;) I use both and Microcap is hands down a superior product. BTW, the guy who is the father of LTSpice left the company. I wonder how long Analog Devices will keep supporting it. If you give Microcap a try - I’m confident that you will see what I mean:)
