This was the show that first introduced me to the Nylons and from the very fist time I heard this version of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" it automatically became my favourite version
My sister and I used to turn on this show every day, hoping and hoping that this episode would air that day. It was our favorite television alongside David the Gnome. I'm 27 now and the nostalgia from watching this video 5:19 onward, nearly killed me haha. I miss TV like this.
I have been searching for this a loooong time, I couldn't remember the name of the show and I only remembered them singing the lion sleeps tonight! I'm with sweeercherrypieayay, I am 23 now and I've looked for this and asked my mom about this for many years and she found it for me I am very thankful.
Marc Connors, the blonde-haired tenor of the Nylons who sang The Lion Sleeps Tonight, succumbed to AIDS in 1991. He was an amazing singer and is missed by many.
Ignacio Varga I thought u were being mean at first and then I paid attention to that part lmao, it is kinda creepy. My kids LOVE this episode and I did too as a kid! Nostalgia at its finest!
The two songs you hear are from SL&B's 1982 live LP "1,2,3,4 look who's coming through the door!" it's only on LP and cassette:( Its called "sea chantey medley" with 1. "Dance Boatman Dance" 2. " Windy old Weather 3. "Santy Anno" 4. "Les Raftsmen"
And 2 of the other members in this episode (Arnold Robinson and Paul Cooper) have since passed away as well. Claude Morrison, the one with the mustache, is the only one still living.
Hi, RetroWinnipegTV. Bram reminded me, of the "Vertical Limit movie" when Cyril appears. Sharon or Lois, reminded me of my TA Morah Pam Appel, it was "Sharon". I was wrong, I said Bram or Lois.
