This is a business, not a house party. No freebies even if it is family

      Yes,
You want a party at a high-end restaurant owned by family, the most you can negotiate is a family & friends DISCOUNT!
And even that comes with mutual consent.
If I were having a family-owned restaurant, I would hire their services for full price for supporting their hospitality vision.

She did it better than I would have. Comes from years of experience in dealing with demanding customers with diplomacy.

Patricia has a lot of nerve. You don't take advantage of family like that. Going to an expensive restaurant and expecting a free mail for 40 people. She's out of her damn mind. I would tell her, only she would get her meal for free since its her birthday, everyone else would pay full price, and if she wanted to argue about she would no longer get her meal for free.

I appreciate that this dispute was able to be settled in a somewhat amicable manner rather than having to involve the law.

It's not inappropriate to offer a discount to a family member, but free is ridiculous.

You want free food? Then go find a soup kitchen

      Exactly!
There are people out there for whom getting decent food itself is a distant dream.

So was the B'Day dinner paid for? These stories never tell the consequences of their actions.

I was in the hospitality business and scene, and plenty of family freeloaders always wanted something more for nothing

personally i would have met in the middle by offering a discount, not the whole thing for free

This story was a cop-out. No mention of the cost or even what the compromise was. Just a bunch of fluff.

The entitlement, selfishness, and delusion of her mother in law is insane. She wanting her DIL to get 40 people to eat for free is crazy. If they cant pay for their food, they'd be busting those suds ( dishes, pots, pans and utensils. 😂😂

Patricia already agreed to tone it down. It wasn't necessary to make a spectacle of her in front of her guests. What was the point of embarrassing her on her birthday?

The stories from this channel always seem to avoid showing any hard and realistic consequences. Nothing but overly-preachy fluff. I think I'll stick with the Revenge Films, Gossip City, Refreshing Stories, Trouble Busters, and Panic Collection channels. Now THOSE videos know to dish it out!
