- Napa Valley is considered one of the premier wine regions in the world. Similar to Tuscany in Italy and Bordeaux in France, Napa Valley, just north of San Francisco, is America's most famous wine region. Sunday Afternoon drive from Downtown Napa, along the Silverado Trail through Napa Valley. Id like to do this in the morning or evening but the schedule just hasn't worked out. Maybe next time. Enjoy!

Napa Valley is a renowned Californian wine-producing region north of San Francisco, with hundreds of vineyards set amid rolling hills. Napa County is a county north of San Pablo Bay located in the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 census, the population was 138,019. The county seat is the City of Napa. Napa County was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood. Parts of the county's territory were given to Lake County in 1861.
Napa County comprises the Napa, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland, CA Combined Statistical Area. It is one of four North Bay counties.
Napa County, once the producer of many different crops, is known today for its regional wine industry, rising to the first rank of wine regions with France by local wineries Stag's Leap Wine Cellars and Chateau Montelena winning the "Judgment of Paris" in 1976.

Napa Valley is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in Napa County, California. Napa Valley is considered one of the premier wine regions in the world. Records of commercial wine production in the region date back to the nineteenth century, but premium wine production dates back only to the 1960s.[4]
The combination of Mediterranean climate, geography and geology of the region are conducive to growing quality wine grapes. John Patchett established the Napa Valley's first commercial vineyard in 1858.[6] In 1861 Charles Krug established another of Napa Valley's first commercial wineries in St. Helena.[6] Viticulture in Napa suffered several setbacks in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including an outbreak of the vine disease phylloxera, the institution of Prohibition, and the Great Depression. The wine industry in Napa Valley recovered, and helped by the results of the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, came to be seen as capable of producing the best quality wine - equal to that of Old World wine regions. Napa Valley is now a major enotourism destination.

Napa resident here. The fact that you got cut off by that impatient driver within the first several seconds of this video, speaks to just how bad our drivers are here. They'll just cut right in front of you without a care in the world. Infuriating.
You were in my area where I live and work and regularly drive. There were so many obnoxiously terrible drivers in this video that I would've honked at. I have no patience for the bad and careless moves displayed by the many drivers featured in this. Can't wait to get out of this place someday!

Any time you stop at a traffic light, if the car in front of you drifts forward, do not follow. They are trying to tell you they want more space between their car and yours. Remember it was taught for years, any time you stop in traffic, you should be able to see the rear tires of the vehicle in front of you. These days everyone wants their car to mate with yours. I simply do not understand why people want to be so close.
I don't think the driver who scoots forward is thinking about that at all. They do it just to be doing it. The drivers around here are quite mindless. They just do things without a real reason or thought.
