    Really like the detail you show on your videos - easy to follow and takes the unknown out of many of the common 9X0 maintenance jobs. Keep 'em coming!

    Just a thank youhere, I have recently purchased a KTM 1290 super adventure 2015 and your catalog of garage videos on this bike is absolutely phenomenal. Especially since my other bike is a 2012 road glide CVO. I’ve been wanting to get back off the tarmac for a while now. Thanks again from Ohio.

    If your clutch is the same as my 950 the last fiber that goes in is clocked differently than the others. Mine was installed lined up with the rest of the fibers and it to failed. I installed the new clutch the same as the failed clutch but found the mistake when looking up the torque spec in the manual. Looking forward to more content on the 990

      Do the 950 and 990 have the same clutch?

    Interesting. I just tried to replace my clutch in an 07 990 adv with an EBC dirt racer clutch kit. No luck. Wont shift at all. It didnt have any mention of an outer plate. Do I need to order an oter plate seperately? I looked at the original stack height compared to the EBC kit and theyre the same. Im confused now... 🤷‍♂️

    Naive question. Does it matter what kind of oil they are soaked in?

      Same oil you’re using in the engine.

    Hi found your amazing video and found the confidence to try this on my adventure S 950 2003, wondering if you could help, I have done everything as described in the video. All seemed well and was happy with my progress but switched it on but now the bike does not move at all when in gear - clutch out. If the bike is switched off I can still push it even if its in gear.Clutch lever feels pretty firm with no play. Am I missing something obvious? do I need to do something with the clutch cable/slave? Any help hugely appreciated!! thanks

    My 990 has left me a lot of times from clutch , and now I can hear tik tik sound coming from clutch bell , do you think there is a relation between the sound and the clutch problem ?

    Do you know if changing the push rod is a complicated job? I’ve been searching a lot for this lately.

    Does it matter which rotation angle the plates go in ? Does the first or last plate go in at a different angle ? Thanks

    Cool vid thanks. I'm about to do the clutch on my 1190r. I'm assuming everything will be the same.
    Did you have to drain any oil out before pulling off the side cover of the bike lean stopped any spills?

    • @2WR
      @2WR  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Throw it on the side stand and no need to drain. That said, I did charge the oil shortly after. I’d have to check the service manual to be 100% sure but I’d assume it’s pretty much the same on the 1090.

    Also have a 990, lately the gearchange goes a bit rough between 1,2,3th gear. Any idea what this could be? Much appreciated 😊😊

    • @2WR
      @2WR  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So it's tough to say for sure. It could be as simple as clutch drag. 2nd and 3rd gear use the same shift fork so it's possible it could be slightly bent/damaged as well.

    will oil spill out when opening the clutch cover?

    • @2WR
      @2WR  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have it on the center stand a few drops may but just like you saw in the video, with the bike on the side stand, nope.
