That topper is wildly awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Looks great!!! Can't wait to see it irl!
Yes so far it has been awesome!
Damn that’s a sick camper. Love how much you can do with it in a small truck 🔥😃👍
Yeah, we have been loving it so far 🤟
Great video!
Thank you!
Good topper, hesitant considering side windoors of other makers
Yeah one thing I like is not having any windows
Congrats on the Harker - they are sweet! I like how the EDC annexes the tailgate space making the interior even bigger. No 270 awnings on it though..
Thank you! Yeah one of the downsides to the EDC.
Love the topper! How did you do your wheels black?
Thank you, the wheels are just simply a $7 can of plasti dip.
Very cool camper and it looks great on the back of that ZR2! Did you consider the EDC version and if so why did you decide against it? I'm interested to hear how the ZR2 handles with the full camper buildout and any issues you may have. I didn't realize I was in the market for a truck camper but the Harker and the lone peak are very tempting options.
I did consider the EDC version for more space but the reason we ended up with the EXO came down to the much easier setup/tear down process the EXO provides over the EDC. You can't go wrong with either set up just depends on your needs. So far ZR2 has been handling it with ease. Just finished up in Moab with it and it did great on trails with the topper. We had originally had a Lone Peak on order but they kept pushing our order further and further back with a lot of empty promises. Also Lone Peak campers majority of their materials and parts are from overseas so the quality of the toppers is questionable and longevity had us concerned, so we made the switch. So far we have been loving it.
Are those the stock zr2 wheels painted? What finish did you end up choosing? Looks great!
Those are stock wheels just painted black with a can of plasti dip
Once you are buttoned up for the night, in the morning, if you want to peek out to check the weather, do you have to unzip the mosquito netting, then unzip the rain fly to see outside?
Yes you would have to unzip the mosquito net to the open the rain fly if you are up top. They do have optional side windows you could put for the bottom portion.
I’d imagine you could leave the mosquito nets rolled up unless you need to use them, I think it’s good they’re on the inside and not the outside.
L track accessory.
If the rear hatch becomes a table, what fills the big hole above the tailgate?
Seems not long ago you could get a pretty decent new pop up up trailer for $6k
Yeah that time no longer exists
It seems to be a really nice camper canopy for the price. But I really wouldn't want to deal with the table setup. It takes just way to long to set up and looks really fiddly. I have l-track in my build and know that it's not super fiddly, but enough that it would annoy me if I had to set this up this way regularly. Plus, now you've opened the rear to mosquitos and other insects.
But again, the price is hard to beat, there are compromises with everything. We have an Alu-Cab Canopy Camper and opening the rear door and dropping down the integrated table we have there takes about 10 seconds. Including fiddling with a padlock ...
Nice! The integrated table is technically an option so if you didn't want to option it out you could use another form of table, it was just convenient for us. Yes, just like you said you will have compromises at this price but at the price of this topper it is very hard to beat for the small inconveniences.
