Man I enjoyed every minute! Thanks so much for taking us along. I am a 79 yo lady and I recently converted my Trek over to electric (don’t hate me it keeps me riding) I love your channel and have learned so much. I try to do as much of my own work as I can to keep my old bike running smooth. Never stop riding.

There's no shame in converting a bike to an e-bike especially at 79. If it gets u outside it's all u need!

I lived in SF for 15 years from the late 80s to the early 2000s and this vid brought back so many memories! I probably rode over the bridge into Marin at least once a week on average and I can see the riding up there is still second to none. Stunning! And before I lived in SF I lived in Redwood City where I trained and raced through the area you highlighted in your Alpine Rd video. The whole Bay Area is basically bicycle paradise!

This was one of the most beautiful videos you have shot. Not just the scenery, but great camera work to capture it. I switched to watch it on my big TV to enjoy it better. Outstanding filming! Great explanations along the way as well. I'm looking forward to the next one from your trip - safe travels!

Hi Bike Farmer. I live in Sausalito and have been riding those routes you just rode for the past 30 years. Never gets old and is never taken for granted. Around the Nicasio Reservior , down into Pt. Reyes, South on the Coast HiWay past Stinson, and climb out back to Sausalito is so wonderful. Glad you got a chance to do this. The climb up Mnt. Tam is nice also. Do that one if you have the chance.

Great content, Bike Farmer! I grew up in San Anselmo in the 60s and 70s, and worked in Samuel P Taylor park for a couple of summers. My commute was over White's Hill to the park every morning and it can get cold even in summer - glad to see you loved this ride as much I remember loving it.

That redwood grove you biked through also has a great campground, Samuel P Taylor State Park. It has a Hike & Bike area where cyclists can camp without needing to make a reservation! These long ride videos are relaxing to watch. I watch a lot of people that bike cross country / continent too. It almost like being there except my legs don’t hurt. One youtuber calls it “type 2 fun” when you take long rides. Its the kind where it sometimes kinda sucks while you’re doing it but later on in life you can look back on it fondly. This is what I would like to do when I retire.

    Nice
Interesting seeing a bicycle ride across the Golden Gate Bridge.
Back around 1992-1995 I was stationed at Travis AFB about an hour east of San Francisco, I have driven across the Golden Gate many times an all of the other bridges in cars and on motorcycles but never on a Bicycle.
I have been to a lot of those towns on my motorcycles.
I just started riding MTB about that time, I did ride around a couple of the islands in the Bay, but most of my weekends I spent riding my MTB up in the Sierra's above Sacramento, I actually moved to Roseville CA, I commuted up to two hours a day going to Travis AFB. I often put my MTB in the back seat of my small Mazda, took the front wheel off and it slid right in.
Kind of wished now I had done some MTB around the city, the gearing on my bike would have been almost perfect.

This is EXACTLY why I am here.
    Seriously...Brother from another Mother.

"That 'Sick bike, bro!' made the trip all worth it!"
      Powerful Truth.

I ride my bike daily in Santa Barbara during the winter (live in South Dakota 🥶the rest of the year). This is our 11th year here during the winter. Luckily we are not in the LA area during the 🔥. We are less than 100 miles north and you can’t even tell it is burning in LA. Usually the winter is the rainy season, but not this year.
We lived in San Francisco mid 80s to mid 90s. The City really is a beautiful place. Glad you are enjoying it.
    Great video!
