    a superfluid won't be able to "go up" a cup wall, it will just stay in the cup... the difference between a fluid and a superfluid is that of the way the touch with other element will affect it, it won't... if you go towards a normal didactive way of seeing it, try droping water on a ceramic and on a sandpaper, the one in the sandpaper will produce something like water droplets because it's friction will stop it from moving and will create a way to receive the pressure evenly (half a sphere or a flat ish surface), also it will show that the dispersion of the water will be a lot lower (circunference from drop point to maximum dispersion). In the case of a superfluid the dispersion will be something like infinite (not really because while dispersing it will gain heat from its contact with other elements in a bigger surface area). Adding, i found the way liquid nitrogen expands and gassifies when thrown on a surface is (i assume) very similar to what would happen in a superfluid, if you had it in a regulated enviroment, i again assume that it will disperse to the limits of the regulated enviroment and then flatten out, (gaining heat in the hit with the wall (?) (this i'm not sure because if it has no friction, it will just change it's momentum and not receive a force per-se)) and gaining heat in the clashes between the superfluid, till the regulated enviroment can mantain it's superfluid temperature.

      maybe it would find its way out of a container with some initial motion?

    • @EisenWald_CH
      @EisenWald_CH 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LetsFindOut1 if in space it could happen(although it would not flatten and will create a giant sphere so... i don't know about that), but if the liquid is in presence of a downwards acceleration (gravity) it will not, because to go "up" a cup it will need a initial motion powerful enough to actually make it spill in the beginning (that force will be lesser than in other liquid because of their friction). Edit: maybe if you create a certain oscilation in the initial force (making the liquid clash with the walls in a certain rythm) it will make some liquid spill because it will armonize and the energy distributed in the oscilations will concentrate in one big one or a certain point in the cup

    something i think about a lot when ppl talk about us being alone in the universe (or not) is that star trek quote/concept that seems to come up a lot: “it’s life, but not as we know it” and the concept of alien life being something completely different to what we understand as “life”. it might be an interesting video to talk about what that life might show up as, or different ways it might work.

    I just realized how a super fluid works. I think, to have no friction, all of the molecules would have to be aligned in almost a crystaline fashion like a laser where the photons are aligned into coherent light. So it becomes like a coherent liquid, with the molecules aligned in such a way that they can flow in one direction without bumping into one another.

    I disagree that only some things are worth finding out about - I think that to value information is to apply yourself to it. The value-er biases it in this way, and so they can’t see the truth in knowledge , no matter whether they consider it valuable or worthless, because they see themselves first, then the knowledge through that lens

    I really enjoy your content :) But I feel like I need to mention that the Mpemba-effect isn‘t scientifically proven (In fact in it‘s general form it violates the laws of thermodynamic). It is very difficult to replicate the effect under controlled conditions and repeat it reliably without getting different results each time.
    Of course the effect is very real in the sense that it can be observed, it just isn’t that simple to explain (if we’d even know exactly what causes it)

    Read Ben Franklins autobiography, Richest man in Babylon, how to win friends and influence people. And rich man poor man. It will give you direction with anything. Generalize don’t over specialize keep it up keep switching up don’t be afraid to take risk if you like it we will like it! Speaking of I gotta drop one.
