Hey, Flaily! I have an SKS that I bullpup'd with an SG Works bullpup kit about 15 years ago. Put on the detachable magazine setup for it, which I've come to not like since it has the goofy looking leg sticking off of it, replicating the leg on the standard box mag of the sks. I'm seriously thinking about grinding up the receiver to fit an AK-47 magazine, but that's a case of 'if I screw it up, the rifle is pretty much ruined' situation, so I'm still on the fence about doing that yet. Everything is on hold until my wife and I figure out when we're moving back to Owensville Missouri. Probably be in a year, right before we retire, because that's where most of our family is at. I've never seen a bullpup SKS. That sounds fascinating! As far as the detachable magazines, I've never been a fan of them on the SKS for that stupid bit at the front. It makes them very awkward. I believe Norinco made an SKS that's already setup for AK mags. Not sure how well they work, but I like the idea. Then again, I like the SKS because it's not an AK. I love the AK, but I love the SKS because it's got a more traditional look and feel. If I want to use 30-round detachable mags, I'll just run an AK. I'm really looking forward to the SKS getting added to SCUM. It will almost certainly become my new weapon of choice. Good luck with the future move! Very pretty country down around Owensville. We go through Hermann, MO quite a bit. Beautiful old town with a lot of history. LOTS of haunted places there, too, largely due to a steamboat accident a long time ago. I'd love to move closer to Frankenstein, MO. My family used to have a farm out there that still has our old family cemetery on the property. I'd love to buy that property and move back there. Gorgeous views out that way. Tons of hills and country roads. I'd love to ride my motorcycle out that way sometime.
Never been to Frankenstein, but I used to go to school in Linn, which isn't very far from there. Mid Missouri has some very pretty country in it. I used to love in a tiny hamlet called Cooper Hill and a place called Mt. Sterling. It's a very quaint little area, but it's still a couple of neat places. I will get on discord and post a pic of the sks, when I dig it out of the back of the closet. The thing that kills me is that that gun was so inaccurate, it was hilarious. It was $100 back in the 90's when I bought it, and just used it to plink around the river with my friend, so I never bothered to fix it. Now that prices are stupid for them, I may have to turn it back to stock. Who knows? Take it easy!

We don't get over that way much anymore, though. We do go to Washington and Union a couple times a month, though. Really cool gun shop in Washington called Titan Hill Armory. That's actually where I bought my most recent purchase, the Tavor X95. They've got some interesting stuff in there, including a 24 karat gold-plated AK! I'd never buy it, but it looks kinda cool. The paranormal investigation we did recently at Emmaus Village (informational video is over on my wife's channel) is near Washington, just outside of Marthasville. Never knew it was there until we decided to take a detour through the countryside and drove past it. It's amazing the places you find just going for a drive on all these nice country backroads...
Always having to rescue his "gal Olive Oyl" from the mean ol' brute Bluto. Gets beat up, eats a can of spinach, and turns into Superman temporarily. I loved it as a kid. It never made me want to eat spinach, though. I like fresh spinach now, but canned spinach 🤢 No thank you!

My assumption is sombody set it at the door as a puppet deterrent while they were looting the building, and either forgot about it or didn't know how to disarm it, so it got left there, maybe thinking "nobody comes all the way up here, so nobody will ever trigger it unless a puppet does, so no big deal." I'm hoping that's all it was, anyway, and not somebody on the server being a deliberate arsehole.
I searched the scrapyard and didn't find any alternators, and the drops only seem to have Laika and WolfsWagen parts so far. Gas stations are hit and miss, usually miss for me, for car parts. Might find lights or a jack/gas can, but I don't know that I've ever found alternators there. Is there a specific place at gas stations I should be checking?
I would say wait until the end of the road trip and re-evaluate the alternator situation then. I would adjust the fame point requirements to trade with the mechanic trader as the number is only arbitrary number anyway. And, as it is single player, you're not affecting anyone else.
You can't adjust the fame point requirements for the traders in SP as far as I know. I can adjust the fame point gain or just set my fame points, but I haven't seen a way to adjust fame point requirements for anything other than respawning, unless they've added a modifier for that.

You do get fame points for killing puppets, just not nearly as many as killing other players. I think it's like 0.25 fame points per puppet, if memory serves. I also have mine set to 2x, but it's still a grind. Personally, I hate the fame points system, as it doesn't really make sense. The only thing it really affects is the traders (and maybe the dropships, but screw those stupid things!!!), but on Single Player, who else is out there doing anything but the one player? So in Single Player, the fame points system is just another way to make the game harder by not allowing you to interact with the traders right away. But let's be honest, would the traders turn down your business just because you're "not famous enough yet", especially when you're their ONLY CUSTOMER??? Of course not!!! So the fame points system just shouldn't even be part of the Single Player mode, in my opinion. Now, if they add some kind of "bounty" system when they add the NPCs, so that the higher your fame points, the more the NPCs will come after you, that could be interesting. But we don't have that currently, so the fame points are kinda useless in SP.

This could be at my end, but other YT videos I checked were fine. Both my TV and iPad are equally out of sync. It’s really only noticeable when you shoot a gun. That one round that gets ejected when you reload… your character actually catches it in mid air, it’s just off camera, so you don’t see it. 😎 You don’t want multiple vehicle repair kits? Have you seen your driving? 😂 Did you remember to get the propane tank after you moved the truck? Edit: Never mind. REDUCE YOUR INVENTORY!!! BLASPHEMY. Blasphemy I say! I really don't need more, but my loot goblin brain goes "Useful stuff! Take it! TAKE IT!!!" even though I have more than I need right now. Also, I'm the best driver in SCUM 🙃 It's just those darn trees and rocks that run out in front of me that are the problem! I generally agree about the "more bullets" philosophy, but I'm oddly drawn to the bolt action rifles and revolvers. I know they're extremely inefficient, particularly against large numbers, but I just really like them! They're beautiful guns, and there's just something satisfying about running a bolt-action or reloading a revolver cylinder. It also makes it feel more "survivor-ish", I guess, because you're limited on ammo and rate of fire, so you can't just run in guns blazing. I don't plan on spawning in the alternator. It feels too cheaty and takes away my main motivation for exploring right now. I don't even want to buy one, as that almost feels cheaty, but that's kinda the whole reason to have the traders, I guess...
So I just rewatched the first couple minutes of the video and you're absolutely right. The audio seems to be off slightly. That bugs the hell outta me, but you're also right in that you don't really notice it too badly except when firing the guns, so I don't know if it's worth taking it down, re-editing, and re-uploading, unless enough people want me to do that to see if it fixes it. I'm just not sure why that happened. The timing was fine during editing, so something got screwed up when the video uploaded to TH-cam. That's so frustrating! 😡

The 18 slots I mentioned came from a SCUM fan site and they were counting the smaller squares, not the standard squares most people use.
I would love to do more RP. I really want to do a more hardcore "nomad survival" season. Maybe turn down the loot and increase the metabolism a bit so I have to constantly think about finding food. It would push me to do more hunting and farming instead of just constant looting. I'm REALLY looking forward to the addition of armed NPCs, as that will make the game a lot more interesting. Right now, it has an "I Am Legend" vibe on Single Player, where you're basically the last person left alive. I dislike PVP because you end up with a lot of toxic players that just play to be arseholes and f$%& your sh!t up, and I hate that. So having NPCs will be a nice addition so we have something other than the puppets to fight, without having to deal with griefers and cheaters.
@FlailyMcFlailerson you could do a solo single player . Cone up with a idea and run with it. Start your series in a jail somewhere on scum map. Shouldn't have went to the bar now I'm hung over in jail then the shtf and go from there . I'd watch that.
My original plan for Larry was going to be much more like "I Am Legend", with the character talking to either imaginary friends or objects out of loneliness rather than lunacy. It was going to be a bit darker (but not too dark. Don't want to just make a bunch of depressing videos, obviously), and the goofiness would be more lighthearted as a way to shine some light on the situation. Instead, I got too immersed in the crazy side of Larry and went down a completely different path. I intended to start making the series more serious and more in-line with my original plan as the series went on. Basically Larry started out very naive and almost child-like, but the longer he's out on his own, the more mature he would get. But I just couldn't get motivated to keep up with Larry's antics long enough to get to that point.

Gas stations , drops , scrap yard......for alternators
I searched the scrapyard and didn't find any alternators, and the drops only seem to have Laika and WolfsWagen parts so far. Gas stations are hit and miss, usually miss for me, for car parts. I rp alot when I play so normally I'm a 38 9mill mp5 and if I'm lucky the shotty
