Mechs for me are a pvp element.
I agree completely. They would definitely be more meaningful in PVP. They don't really add anything to PVE, for me, particularly Single Player PVE.
Can you make damage by mech lower at server setting so there are still mech but not so deadly?
I have their damage set to 1% of default, and they're still that deadly. The biggest problem I see is that I can adjust their damage to my health (how many % they drop my health with each shot), but there doesn't seem to be a way to alter the physical damage they do (they still cause multiple C4 injuries, even at 1% damage). I got hit one time and was instantly crippled and bleeding heavily, even though the shot didn't knock my health down very much. But with multiple C4 injuries, you bleed out quickly. It's not the mech's direct damage that seems to get me, but the injuries they still inflict. I wish there was a way to change that so they don't instantly inflict multiple severe injuries.
I've noticed supers ware out to fast
They do indeed. Suppressors, realistically, shouldn't wear out. They function essentially the same way a car muffler works, and how often do we have to replace our car mufflers? Virtually never. The only reason a suppressor would wear out is if you had a baffle strike (the bullet hits an internal part of the suppressor as it passes through, causing damage). Aside from that, the baffles can get dirty and may become slightly less effective at reducing the volume of the shot, but that doesn't happen for SEVERAL thousand rounds, and even when it does, the suppressor is still perfectly usable, just slightly less effective.
😢😂
I think if you are going to practice with the mechs, you should post a separate video so we can critique and advise you. It’s hard to get better with the mechs if you don’t have advice from others. For me, I watched probably a dozen videos from people like RayKit and others to learn how to deal with them. My mechs are at full strength and lethality because I don’t even bother waisting ammo trying to kill them. I use stealth and avoidance to get by them. Success rate 80% (30% at the B2 Airport)😢 Oh, and have some Phoenix Tears on hand.
We set them to 10% health on Wolf Pack to make them a bit more realistic. What's the point in having the RPGs in the game if they can't take out the mechs? The rounds for the RPG-7 specifically state they are for destroying heavily armored targets (I'm pretty sure they say "anti-tank" in the description, but I could be wrong), so they SHOULD be able to take down the mechs. Default mechs take 7 RPG rounds to go down. 7! That's insane! So, we set them to where they go down with 1, as they should.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson I have taken out a mech with an RPG, and yes it took 8 rounds (I missed once) and what did I get after searching it… A hand-grenade, some C4 parts and a smoke grenade. I don’t know, a great deal I think, don’t you. In the Sub pen I took down a mech with 14 AK drums and 2 gun repair kits. There should be a weak spot on the mechs, like their sensor/camera pod. Something hard to hit but that will take it down or perhaps just blind it with a few well placed shots.
I agree 100%. That camera/sensor pod that hangs out on the front absolutely should be a weak spot. I think it should blind the mech, at least temporarily (maybe give you 10-30 seconds to run. I also think that perhaps shooting the legs or joints, should disable them. You should be able to (in my opinion) shoot the hydraulic lines on their arms and legs to disable that limb (ie, disable their machine guns, stop them from pursuing you, etc). I get that that would be a lot more work for the devs, but it would make the mechs a heck of a lot more realistic. Also, the mechs now do give more loot. You get a couple boxes of .50BMG ammo, the mech's .50cal machine gun (for use in turrets), a few grenades, and a targeting kit (also for the turrets). Still not great for the amount of work that goes into taking one down, but somewhat better than it used to be, I suppose.
I hate them as well. Imo you went in the wrong way to begin with.
I agree with my wrong approach. Admittedly, my issue with the mechs is that I'm bad at dealing with them. But there's not enough reward to bother getting good at dealing with them in Single Player, in my opinion. They add more bad than good, as far as I'm concerned. Challenge is fine, but when the challenge takes away all the fun of playing, then it's not worth it. A challenge should be rewarding, not just challenging for the sake of being challenging.
@FlailyMcFlailerson I play as if the toon is me and the island is just deserted . Meks ha e no place in that situation.
I agree completely. That's how I prefer to play. But since I do videos, I want to keep things interesting, and a few people now have noted how empty the world feels. They're not wrong, but that's also something I kind of enjoy, if I'm being honest. I like the "Last Man On Earth" vibe. The world is mine to explore as I wish. Yes, there are dangers, but why are there giant robots whose sole purpose is to keep me, literally the only living person on this island (aside from the traders), from entering certain areas??? Shouldn't they also kill the puppets, if their purpose is to secure these POIs? But no, they only kill me! It makes no sense...
@FlailyMcFlailerson I agree . No sence
Don’t you have a boat in the boathouse, or was that at the dam lake boathouse?
I believe it was the dam lake boathouse. That being said, I have had boats spawn in this boathouse after I claimed the area with a flag, so it's possible that there is a boat in there now when there wasn't before.
Hey my man, you play the way you want because I will still watch your videos. I still find them very entertaining. I'm also fine with no Mechs on the Wolfpack server.
I still want to replace the mechs with armed NPCs (no aimbot, though, please devs...). At least then I could fight back. But the mechs are nigh-unkillable, and even at 1% damage, they utterly destroyed me...Yeah, the problem is me not being good at avoiding them, but what is the reward for avoiding them? A bit of ammo (hopefully), maybe a couple pistols, and a bunch of beanies and sunglasses? Not worth it. Make the loot at these places better, and maybe the mechs would be worth it. But as is, it's not worth it to me. Some folks enjoy the extreme cat and mouse game with the mechs, and for them, awesome! Have at it! But it's not my style. I'd rather have the area absolutely crawling with puppets so I'd still have to be stealthy and wouldn't be able to go in guns blazing. But aside from turning hordes back on (which the horde system is still somewhat broken, in my opinion, but better than the mechs), I have puppet numbers maxed out and I'd still like to see A LOT more.
I've been low-key on the server lately. Really wanna see those NPC soldiers.
Same! Unfortunately, as I understand it, they're not planning to add those until 1.0, which I think would be a mistake. They really need to add those in while the game is still in early access so they can get all the bugs worked out properly before full release. Nothing will tank the game faster than releasing the full game with a bunch of broken mechanics, bugs, and features people hate (like when they added the dropships that NOBODY asked for and almost everyone almost immediately turned them off).
Don’t worry about the Mechs. Everybody should play however they are most comfortable. Don’t worry about pleasing us, we’ll watch whatever you do, I certainly will. If you ever do try them again, don’t run directly away from them, run diagonally from them. They aim for where you are, not where you are going to be. So if you run directly away their bullets will still hit you, if you run diagonally they will miss you, mostly 🤷♂️.
Good suggestion with the running pattern. I tried that at the end there and he still got me. Ironically, that's WHEN he got me, but if I had been doing that from the get-go, it likely would've been more effective. I just want there to be a reason to have the mechs other than "it makes it more difficult". I can make things more difficult in other ways than having giant Terminators guarding all the beanie crates. The mechs should only be guarding high-end loot, not basic military clothes...If most of the crates at the airfield had ammo or decent weapons in them, yeah, it would make sense to have the mechs guarding it. Get past the mechs, and you've got yourself a good haul!!! But when you come out of the airfield with a stack and a half of 9mm, 8 rounds of birdshot, a 1911 magazine, and a dozen beanies...Eh...the mechs can keep that stuff.
I’ve discovered another problem you have with the Mechs… THEY KEEP KILLING YOU! 😎🤣
I have enough of that from the puppets! The difference is, the puppets and I have an understanding. If they try to kill me, I'll kill them back! The mechs don't seem to share that agreement...They just say "If I want to kill you, you're dead and there ain't sh*t you can do about it! Now F-off before I change my mind about letting you run away. Too late! Ha! Gotcha MF-er!!!" You saw it. I surrendered, he said I could leave, then as I was leaving (literally as fast as I could towards the nearest possible exit), he changed his mind and killed me anyway! I can't work with untrustworthy arseholes like that...
@@FlailyMcFlailerson When you surrendered I said “oh, man you ain’t going to make it.” Because surrendering gives you about a 5 second head start before they blast you. If you’re not near a fence or cover, you’re toast.
Then what's the point of surrendering?!? "I surrender!!!" "Ok, you can leave. Get out of here, NOW!!!" "Yessir! Sorry!!! I'm leaving!" *starts running toward the nearest exit. Gets shot anyway* "WHOA!!!!! I SAID I'M LEAVING!!! WHY ARE YOU SHOOTING???" "Yes, you are leaving. Permanently" *shoots me repeatedly IN THE BACK WHILE I'M RUNNING AWAY, then starts lobbing grenades at me AFTER I'm already crippled by the gunfire* Can't trust the mechs at all!!!
@@FlailyMcFlailerson Mech: no mercy, no empathy, no quarter, just 5 tons of DEATH. 🤖 Oh, and they LIE too.
F4 for hands up.
I will attempt to remember that. If I turn the mechs back on in the future, I may have to switch that key to something easier to reach, since I play with a gamepad (minimized keyboard, more contoured to support my chronically painful hand) instead of the full keyboard.
I’ve discovered your problem with Mechs… You don’t look at what they are doing! You just run. You need to watch their path, then run to the next bush as they are facing away from you. Rinse and repeat until you get to your destination. And yes, the airport is the WORST place to test them.
I agree, but with my puppet numbers, I'm also watching out for puppets because they are all over the place. But, my opinion of the mechs is still that they don't add anything positive to Single Player, for my particular playstyle, and for what I want out of a game like SCUM. In PVP, you can scavenge turret parts from them, but you don't need turrets in Single Player unless the mechs are attacking your base. So, you need to fight mechs solely in order to fight more mechs. Seems counter intuitive to me if you don't enjoy fighting the mechs. I fully admit that my problem with the mechs is my own lack of skill with them. But when improving that skill offers no real reward, it's difficult to get motivated to improve it. I'd much rather just have more/tougher puppets to keep things interesting, as opposed to nigh-unkillable instant death robots that offer no reward for beating them besides the ability to get some likely mediocre loot. At the airfield, I might find some pistols, a mag or two worth of ammo, a crap ton of hats/gloves/sunglasses, and MAYBE some armor or a ghillie suit (the latter of which is mostly useless in Single Player aside from selling it). Doesn't seem like a worthwhile reward for having to deal with the mechs. The bunkers, sure, I could see having mechs there. Same with the torpedo factory, because you're almost guaranteed to get really good loot from those places. But just the general military areas like the airfield or trainyard down South, or places like the cement factory...You likely won't get anything better than what you could find raiding police stations, the only difference being there will be more of it (maybe...You might just find a backpack's worth of beanies and sunglasses). That's why I want more customization with the mechs. I'm not opposed to the mechs where the mechs make sense. But the mechs, as they are, seem very unnecessary and not worth the trouble most of the time. Also, if mech permadeath (for Single Player) was a thing, THAT would be its own reward. Once you kill a mech, it stays gone PERMANENTLY. That way, you start out not being able to fight the mechs and have to avoid them at all costs. Once you get better gear, better weapons, and establish yourself properly on the island, you can take them down one at a time to gradually make raiding POIs easier. But right now, you kill EVERY mech at the airfield, go back to your base to drop off loot (loot that wouldn't even come close to replenishing the supplies/cost of killing all the mechs), drive back to the airfield, and there's a dozen new mechs there, ready to murder you all over again. I personally just don't see the point of the mechs in Single Player, unless a person just really enjoys dealing with them, which I (obviously) don't.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson whenever I go to the airport now, I turn mechs off, then after I leave I’ll turn them back on. Even the mechs at the airfield/bunker system at the D4 airfield, as numerous as they are, aren’t nearly as dangerous as the B2 airport. Back in 2000-2022 before you could turn off the mech I would build a wall from the fence line all the way to the bunker entrance so I could get into the bunkers without engaging the mechs. All future trips to that bunker would then be safer. That worker really well until I experienced my first full wipe… curse the devs… 😖
At least at D4, you've got elevated areas to use as cover for your approach. At B2, you've got nothing but a few bushes, and you have to cover some ground out in the open before getting to those. I may try God Mode-ing a wall in like you said to make some new avenues of approach, just to give that a try. Also, I'm curious, you've said multiple times now that you've been playing SCUM since 2000, but I thought it didn't release into early access until 2018 or so? I can't imagine the game has been in early access for nearly 25 years now, so I'm curious if I've been misunderstanding you or if SCUM has actually been around for that long. If it's actually 25 years old, then 1: it looks pretty darn good for its age, and 2: how have they not fixed the bugs yet?!?!?
I'm notified.
I'm glad somebody is! Several people have told me they're not getting notifications, and they're not even seeing the videos in their TH-cam feed. They have to actively search for the videos.
@FlailyMcFlailerson that's terrible
I'm a fan of the realistic jump mechanic. You could never get around easy with all the weight
Agreed. I just wish it applied more based on how much weight you're carrying. A fresh spawn with nothing should be MUCH more agile and have more stamina than a fully kitted out player with multiple weapons, ammo, hiking backpack, and armor.
B4 you turn the meks on hit up d0 .lots of good stuff . Plus there's a couple vehicle spawns . Who knows ows what you could find
I do get notification for your vids but they usually come AFTER I’m started watching the vid.
That kinda defeats the purpose of the notification, huh? "Oh hey, you know that video you're already watching? Yeah, we think you'll really enjoy it, so we just want to remind you to watch the video you're already watching!" 🙄 Thanks TH-cam...🤦♂️
Re video views: I have notice an odd change regarding your videos on youtube. In the past, if I turned on my TV or my iPad on youtube your video would be the first one listed on days you published it. But for the last couple of weeks your video is still first on my TV, but doesn’t show up on my iPad. To watch it on my iPad I must first start it on the TV, then switch to the iPad and go to history to find it. This is inconvenient and annoying so I don’t know what causing it. It’s got to be something TH-cam is doing.
I think TH-cam's algorithm might have changed at the beginning of the year because both I and my wife have noticed a considerable decline in views and whether our videos get recommended on TH-cam. It's quite frustrating, both for content creators and viewers. Viewers have a harder time finding the videos they want, and creators have a harder time reaching audiences. It just hurts everybody, especially small channels, and that's VERY frustrating. Towards the end of last year, I was gaining a couple subscribers a day and a lot of people were liking and commenting on the videos, but since 2025 started, I think I've gained about 5 subscribers and people don't seem to find the videos very well. It's kinda disheartening, honestly. You try to put out videos that, historically, have done well and helped the channel grow, but then all of a sudden, those same videos aren't doing very well and channel growth has ground to a halt. It's almost like TH-cam is trying to discourage smaller channels this year...
I have my jump stamina cost set to 25% per jump instead of the standard 50% per jump. I don’t “bunny hop” even when running from puppets. I mainly jump when trying to climb something like rocks or on to a building.
I may do that as well. The current stamina drain can seem a bit excessive at times. That said, I think it should depend heavily on how much weight you're carrying. A fresh spawn-ish equipped character should have a lot more jumping/climbing stamina because they're only carrying basic clothes, but a fully kitted out player carrying 2 rifles, a couple hundred rounds of ammo, a hiking backpack half full of loot, a coat, and fully loaded body armor should have a lot more difficult time jumping. For that, yeah, 2 jumps seems pretty accurate. For a freshy-esque character, they should be able to jump/climb a lot more before getting winded.
To find where one group of cars ends, simply count the cars. I think it’s something like 10 cars per group.
Smoke grenades are unless with mechs and puppets, they are more for PVP.
Good to know. I will sell them, then.
Can you use the box mag on the m16 the one used on the M249?
The M16 magazines fit the M249, but the M249 ammobox does not fit the M16/Mk18/SCAR-L.
How did you make it so you could place 10 weapon stands? i can only seem to place 2 ;[
It's somewhere in "Server Settings", under "Base Building" if memory serves. I'm thinking that's in the "Features" tab, but I can't remember for certain. You can also increase the number of garden plots to 10 as well.
I’ve notice you have stopped picking up tool boxes (because you have lots). Consider this… If you want to craft your own ammo, you should check out the cost in resources. The higher your Engineering skill the cheaper it will be. These numbers are for Medium level. I use 5.56x45 and to make 30 rounds I need: 6 metal, 90 gun powder, 42 lead and 56 toolbox uses. And that’s for just 1 magazine load. To make just 5 mags that’s… 30 metal, 450 powder, 210 lead and a whopping 280 toolbox uses. 😮 You might want to start picking up ALL the toolbox you can find. Please don’t shoot the messenger, the bullets are too expensive.😎
Holy crap...Thank you for the...somewhat depressing...math. Crafting ammo is really not an efficient way to get ammo, is it? Just the lead alone...Toolboxes are fairly easy to get, but yes, I need to have a wardrobe full of them just to have enough for ammo! The gunpowder, I find all over the place, so I'm not super-duper concerned about that at the moment. But man...those lead plates...With what I currently have, I could maybe fill 2 AK drums...MAYBE. I think I may just craft ammo for the experience of doing it and as a last resort type of thing and just buy ammo from the traders as a first choice (after scavenging ammo, obviously). I don't buy much from the traders other than ammo, unless I'm looking to buy a new gun that I can't find, or armor/storage for the vehicles, so I might as well spend money on ammo! Crafting ammo might be more viable with limited loot where you don't find much ammo and can't afford much from the trader, so you have to make do with a bow and crafting what ammo you can. But even then, those lead plates are going to be tough...
@ For me the shortfall is the toolboxes. Because i’m what I think gamers call a “loot goblin” or something like that, I have a full wardrobe of scrap metal and over 1000 uses of lead plates. Gun powder is easy, as you say, because one tin of it has between 50 and 150 uses. Because I’m a collector, everything that I add to my collection MUST be at 100%, so I use a lot of toolboxes to repair stuff. I’m always short and often have to make improvised toolboxes. I could give you 200-300 lead but you know this whole different servers thing…
Where is the best place to find lead plates? For toolboxes, I just hit the big garages, such as those at the airfield or motocross track. I can usually find several there each time I visit, so I'm not too concerned about those.
@ The traders… 😂 Car batteries give you a full 20 use lead plate. I had collected 15 car batteries that netted me 300. Industrial site are good places to look. They are often just in cardboard boxes on shelves. The train yard, in the long storage buildings, the sections you usually skip. Garages and garbage dumpsters. Other than car batteries there aren’t many places where you’re guaranteed to find lead plates. They are the kind of loot that I always take and over time they add up.
@ Toolboxes are plentiful. For me there are just so many things I need them for that I always needing more. I will, from time to time, whip up 20-30 improvised toolkits to meet my needs.
Re Mechs: As you know, I do like having Mechs on, except at the B2 airport. They add an extra level of challenge/danger that I like. Re Puppets: I have it set so puppets can’t open door but CAN climb through windows. Puppets set to 3x I think. I haven’t played around with there health or damage done yet.
I go back and forth on the mechs. In general, I'm not a fan of them. But they certainly do make the world seem a little more alive. I just wish I could tweak the number of mechs at each POI, instead of having all or nothing. The B2 airfield alone has a dozen, if memory serves. I wish I could cut the number in half but increase the patrolling area of each mech. That would still create challenge, but would allow for more openings to sneak by. I hate how small most of the current gaps in their routes are, especially when many of them overlap to some degree. With the puppets, that's the way I would prefer to have them. I still feel the puppets shouldn't be able to open most doors since they don't have the motor skills to turn a doorknob, let alone open the sliding doors or ESPECIALLY the bunker doors! And if the puppets can open doors just by smacking them a few times, why can't we open them the same way? Our melee attack can't open doors, even though that would be handy sometimes when you're running from a mob. Run to a door and just bash it open at full sprint, slam it shut behind you and stand against it so the puppets couldn't open it. But no, we have to work the doorknob, yet the puppets can do it by smacking the door a couple times. As far as their increased damage goes, that was a suggestion from some viewers a LONG time ago, and I liked it, so I stuck with it. Further increasing their damage is something I've been thinking about, and increasing their health is something I've tested in the past. I want the puppets to feel dangerous. I would like to have the puppets seem like a real threat, even if it's only one or two of them. I want multiple puppets coming at me to be an "oh sh*t" moment as opposed to "I can take all 6 of you with my pistol!" I honestly wish there was a way to make it require a headshot to kill the puppets. You could still stagger them or knock them down with body shots, but to fully stop them, you'd need a headshot. But in return, none of them would be the super-fast sprinters. They'd all only be able to run at the same speed as, say, the heavy armored puppets. That way you'd have the option of running away if need be. Right now, you can't outrun the sprinters (at least I can't), which I hate. Headshots would make sense, too, because the puppets are controlled by the BCU implant, so destroying the brain would effectively disable the BCU's ability to control the body. Just my $0.02 worth!
@@FlailyMcFlailerson assuming your stats are midrange you can/could outrun even the fastest puppet but it requires you drop your backpack and anything really heavy. This is why I like the red backpacks, they are easier to find after escaping and returning for your stuff. (Note; this may not be true now since they spedup the puppets and changed how the players stamina work. I haven’t put it to the test recently. I hate the B2 airport mechs. They have multiple overlapping fields of fire and can see you through the tiniest sliver of a window. I recently got trapped in one of the end rooms on the upper level of one of the hangers. Every time I opened one of the doors to see where the mechs were one of them would shoot at me and it was hard to tell which direction it came come. Over the course of ~45min I was hit several time causing C4 injuries. After running out of medical supplies, and clothing to cut up, I died! 🪦 I had to turn off the mechs to get back to my body.
I wish there was a hotkey to let you drop your backpack on the fly for running from puppets. I guess I could put the backpack on a hotkey and then hit "G" to drop it quickly, assuming that works. They really need to add a setting for adjusting how many mechs are at POIs. B2 Airfield is crazy with how many mechs there are and how many wide open spaces there are with little cover. Half the number of mechs there would be much better, in my opinion.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson I’ll have to try the hotkey idea, not too hopeful it will work, but it’s worth a try.
The hotkey method works REALLY well. I tested it this morning while recording tomorrow's video. Just putting the backpack on a hotkey and hitting that hotkey drops the backpack on the ground. No extra step of it going into your hands. It just goes from your back to the ground with a single button press. Very efficient!
Re foundation: Concrete (Brick would be ok too)
I'll try them in whichever order they go and see if I'm happy with the first one. Although I would like to upgrade it fully just to get the experience of doing it. The only time I've ever gone all out was with God Mode when I did the "Ideal Single Player Base" video, and that really doesn't give you the same feeling of accomplishment.
To get the wood shed level, build a foundation first.
I had thought about that afterwards, but I ended up finding a spot that's "level enough" that I'm ok with it. I'm not likely to use the log shed too much, since I just cut what I need as I go, so the log shed would just be for overflow stuff. But we'll see. Maybe it'll see more use than I currently intend for it. I guess it would be better for videos, since I could just grab wood from the shed instead of you guys having to watch me cut everything.
If you put a couple of refrigerators on that table, you will loose/reduce your view of the waterfall. Maybe setup a second table to the right for the fridges. Edit: Never mind.🙂
I'm confused about the fridges. I hooked the fridge up to the generator and turned everything on, then put the meat in the fridge, but the meat is still spoiling at about the same rate (or faster) than when I just had it in the chest in the car. In the car, it didn't seem to be spoiling very quickly at all, but now that it's in the fridge, it's spoiling fairly rapidly. I've noticed that before, too. Is that something you've experienced as well or is this an isolated bug for me?
@ hopefully someone else can shed some light on the refrigerator issue. I do very little cooking and I’ve turned off the food spoiling metric because as a “collector” I don’t want to have to replace my collection of food all the time. There is so much food in the game, from fruits and vegetables to packaged foods and of course wild meats that I don’t brother much with cooking. The glut of food would make it difficult to do a real survival like play-through in SCUM unless you follow strict guidelines for what you are allowed to eat. ie: only food you grow yourself or gather in the wild (not from gardens or farms and no manufactured foods).
I may turn off food spoilage since the refrigerators don't seem to work for me. In relation to the survival playthrough, you could increase the metabolism (body simulation speed) to make it so you have to eat more often. Still not exactly "survival", but it would make food more of a constant necessity. I still want to be able to tweak the individual loot values, or at least adjust them by category (food, ammo, clothing, tools, etc.). I want food to be harder to find, hunting opportunities to be more frequent, rifle ammo to be more prevalent (only in military POIs), and for the love of God please stop making me find beanies in virtually EVERY military crate!!!
⁉️ You need 6 rocks for the fire ring that shows 11 rocks in the blueprint ⁉️
You're not supposed to count the rocks in the blueprint! Screw common sense! To be fair, most of the blueprints require significantly fewer materials than they should. Upgrading things from twig to wooden planks only requires a few nails and boards, but if you look at the finished product, there are SEVERAL boards and dozens of nails.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson Yea, you’re right about that. I guess the devs are trying to balance between realism and playability. I won’t give them too much grief about the rocks. 😉
You should be getting 6-7 planks per log. Check around outside to see if the missing ones phased through the walls. This may depend on your Engineering stat. Edit: You found them.
I hate that stuff can glitch through walls like that. I hope the devs fix that in the near future, but I honestly doubt they will...
@@FlailyMcFlailerson The game has been like that since I started playing in 2000. It has improved somewhat however. Several years ago I build a platform so I could see where all the stick were when cutting a branch bundle, but they all spawned UNDER the platform. Now only ~10% spawn through walls/floors. Now don’t get me started on chopping up puppets.
Blueprints can be deleted on the crafting menu at bottom . Ps. You had feathers on a chest. Ok
Thank you. I don't do enough base building to remember how to delete the blueprints aside from staring directly at them and deleting them individually up close. I was able to get the one floor piece deleted by standing at a different angle, but I'll remember your suggestion in the future. Also, I found the feathers after the video ended, but only AFTER I went down the road to a nearby farm and grabbed some more...So now I have extra!
Don't worry about it I'm sure someone will point it out to the devs and they'll fix it
Referring to the revolver, I honestly don't mind. I, personally, like the look of the Peacekeeper better than the other revolvers, which is why I use it. So if it can use .357 as well, then there's no reason for me to dislike it compared to the others! Just take the "38" out of the name so it can be a .357 and nobody will know the difference! 😁
Isn't it crazy how ocd can define how someone games? Yea I have it too. Especially when gaming.
That's why it's hard for me to organize my inventory. When I organize things, they have to be PERFECT or I don't like it. Oddly, just loosely organizing things like I have them in the car is less stressful to my OCD than truly organizing things properly, even though I still get frustrated because I miss things. My brain works in mysterious ways, and it just confuses me most of the time...
@FlailyMcFlailerson I had a guy that did all the organizing in squad
That's what John does on the multiplayer server. He's got stuff REALLY well organized, so I'm trying to do my Single Player stuff like that back at base. I spent a couple hours last night starting on that. Still got a ways to go, but it's coming along.
@@FlailyMcFlailersonI spend 3 days on a looting trip and 5 days sorting all that stuff out when I get home. I have a need to collect one* of everything in the game, like a stamp collection but less valuable. *I use to collect 2 of everything but they keep doing wipes so I never get a complete collection. It drives me nuts.😵💫
if you are happy and you know it say meow
HK Slap much? :P
I think the character just does it for gits and shiggles since it's unnecessary most of the time. Still fun, I suppose, and very iconic. I wish I could get a 50-round drum for that MP5.
I owe you a truly heart felt apology. While you were going around and saying you were trying to find the security lockers, I was thinking, in a very snarky, condescending internal voice, “you’re not going to find them because there aren’t any in that bunker…” THEN you open that door and there they are. I’m so sorry for doubting you.😖 🫣
No worries!
D4 is big bungker, better to bring extra bagpack..
I brought 2 extras, and that still wasn't enough to do the whole thing solo!
It’s been a long time since I was at the D4 airport. They have made a lot of changes. Lots more overgrowth on the runways. Looks like I’ll need a BP full of ammo to do that bunker.
Yeah, I didn't bring enough...
Airplane repair kits are a quest item.
Ah...well, I guess if I find another one, I'll try to remember that. Thus far, I'm not really into the quests. They're all just fetch quests on Tier 1 as far as I've seen. And Tier 2 doesn't work in Single Player? So I don't know how much more I'm going to do with the quests. I'll probably just look into them, and if I already have the necessary items, I'll take the quest. If not, I'll probably ignore it for now. I was really hoping they'd be more interesting or make more sense (why do we need to sabotage A/C units or inspect pay phones for wire-taps???)
@@FlailyMcFlailerson yea, the quests aren’t what I was hoping for either. It is especially boring when you need to do the same quest for 4 different trading posts. It will be better when they fix the T2 quest so we can move on to T3. I’ll have to pay more attention to the T3 quests on the bulletin boards to see if they get any better. It’s also dumb that, if you have the money, you can just buy the quest items from the same trader that wants to hire you to get the items. Oh well. I guess we’ll see.
The option to buy the quest items can be disabled in Server Settings, but either way, I'm still a bit disappointed with the quests.
Interesting how that scope’s night-vision doesn’t kick in in a dark bunker. It must be time dependent not light dependent. Something for the devs to look into.
Funny thing is, it was actually nighttime towards the end of the video. When I came out after the video ended, it was dark out. I didn't check the scope outside, unfortunately. I'll have to do that when I get back in. It doesn't say anything about the scope having nightvision, so I'm very curious to see it for myself.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson Yea, I noticed the scope was using night vision when you went back inside, didn’t know it had gotten dark outside as you cut that part out. (The crosshairs are just red, not sure how much light enhancing it does).
Ah, so it just has an illuminated reticle, not actual nightvision. That's a bit disappointing, but I didn't expect it to have nightvision, so I can't say I'm missing anything.
Medicinski= medical room
Yay! I got that one right! Thankfully, that one's fairly straightforward, for simpletons like me 😅
No worries hahahah it's ok that stuff are normal everything is good🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@FlailyMcFlailerson by the way what's time now at your place
Right now is 12:45pm
@ then good night☺️
Hvala!
Thank you so much! You are far too kind!
Skladište= storage
I had sort of figured that might be the case for that one. Thank you for confirming! Your translations are VERY much appreciated!
Croatian language😊
I wish I was fluent (or even moderately competent) in more languages. As-is, I'm barely fluent in English. I'm pretty good with gibberish and noises, though!
@ its my native language so if you need help I'm here🤘🏻
Thank you very much! I greatly appreciate that!
Also, I apologize for butchering any of the pronunciations if I attempt to actually say the words out loud in videos. Then again, I intentionally butcher the English language because it's amusing to make up my own pronunciations, so at least with Croatian, I have the legitimate excuse of actually not knowing how words are pronounced.
Sanitarni cvor= toalet Spavaonice= sleaping rooms
You are most helpful! Thank you!
Such an empty world. Intriguing, but kinda boring.
I agree. Within the next 6 months, they're supposed to add a lot to the game, including armed NPCs and story-based missions, so hopefully it will feel a lot less empty soon.
You may find this video interesting. He tests all the AP ammo and compares it to standard ammo. It’s only 2 weeks old so it is currently relevant. Spoiler alert, There is minimal/no difference. The one exception is using 50BMG against a Mech. Using 50BMG against a Mech used ~70 rounds standard but only ~50 rounds AP. He didn’t test Tracer ammo, I wish he had. th-cam.com/video/04QJJ7v36f8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=duATwLfgg82rBfBD
That is actually very interesting. I was debating about running AP ammo in my long gun and saving it for armored puppets, then using standard ammo in my sidearm for non-armored puppets. But if there's not much difference, then I guess there's no point in doing that.
Re suppressors: The suppressor wear is so unrealistic that I have just decided to spawn in a new one when my active one breaks. Re Wipes: Before the last wipe I took stock of everything I had, including number of base elements, and after the wipe, I respawned all my stuff and god moded in a new base with the same number of elements. Doing that means I can just continue my pre wipe game without loosing too much of my stuff.
I've more or less determined that without hordes, suppressors don't really make a huge difference. With hordes, non-suppressed gunshots seem to trigger hordes slightly more often than suppressed gunshots. Without hordes, I don't notice much difference.
