This is a much better way to bowtie. I see so many people do a triangular or rounded cradle on the bottom, but the flat cradle allows the culet to go through and the stone just sits better. Thank you for this. This setting was so frustrating.

I've watched and watched this video over and over, btw is about the clearest one so far. My brain however didn't want to grasp the concept of all the u-turns. But once the block cleared I could see a different route to the same end. If someone else has mentioned this already then I shall turn in shame for not reading the comments...I shaped a series of circles with shoulders on a wire, and just folded the circle part backwards (or 90°) at the top of the shoulders.

Great video! I have enjoyed watching your tutorials and think your designs look amazing. This design is super satisfying to see come together and looks great to boot. Question for you when you first started making wire wrapped jewelry/stone set pieces did your hands/fingers hurt a bit? If so what if any remedies did you use?

As the innovator of the bowtie setting, I do NOT recommend this video and I do not want this associated with the true quality of bowtie setting. Please check out the correct way to make it at this link. th-cam.com/video/exG7huvtAPI/w-d-xo.html
