i listened to this record as an 11 year old at my grandparents house in 1983....i know it word for word, the war stories section is just as good....nostalgia doesnt even begin to quantify the feelings of pure happiness, safety and joy that watching this evokes in me...i still use the line when my son asks me for money..'where's tha gannin? hollang?' he just looks at me in bemusement hahah but i crack myself up hahah ...god bless y bobby....you had ya troubles like we all do, but your legacy is golden....

I said 'she used to come to the school on a lunchtime and breast feed him through the railings!🤫We used to walk to school and back home later, a round trip of ten miles, that just show's how thick we were, the school was only two streets away, but we always got lost every day!🤔 The teacher asked my brother 'What comes at the end of a sentence'? My brother said ' Parole miss'!🤭The school inspector asked one lad in our class 'who knocked down the walls of Jericho'? He said 'well it wasn't me'! The inspector went to the head master and told him that when he asked who knocked down the walls of Jericho? the ginger lad said it wasn't him! The headmaster said 'well, I've know little ginger Thompson since he was a kid, and if he says he never did it, then he never did it'!

Im a geordie and honestly this man was my dads fav comedian and as a member of the CIU Manors social club he saw bobby more times than i can count and thanks to the vhs of his routine i became a massive fan i may only be 45 but i can recite his jokes word for word lol

Knew Bobby from my days in Whitley Bay. A generous, friendly and kind hearted man as funny in real life as he was in the clubs.
