Get a humidity meter (or more then one, like for every room), below 35% ish and above 75% give problems. The first with the air to dry to breathe (dries out mucus membranes in nose, throat and such) and high means mold and also breathing issues from that only later and more often permanent. Simmering a pot of water on the woodburner can help for low humidity.

@hillockfarm8404 thanks for the tip! We normally put a pot of water on top of the stove to make it more humid once we are burning on a regular basis
