    The Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, Michigan, is currently undergoing construction. The eastbound span of the bridge, which connects Port Huron, Michigan, to Sarnia, Ontario, is closed for maintenance from May 29, 2024, until October 2024. During this period, all traffic is being diverted to the westbound span, which is accommodating both directions of travel.
    This construction is essential for maintaining the safety and reliability of the bridge, which is a crucial economic link between the U.S. and Canada. If you’re planning to travel across the bridge, be prepared for potential delays and restrictions, especially for wide loads.

    That’s the newer of the two bridges and sure is pretty rusty looking. Still remember seeing it being built when I was younger going to visit my Canadian relatives.

      Why does it look older than the other one?

      @blackmoom หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@michaelanthonyvideos Actually that's the older span, the one on the left is the newest one. Built in 1997, I believe, or 1998. I remember seeing it every day when I drove through town.

    Cool video. I lived in Port Huron 76-79 and crossed the Blue Water bridge into Sarnia every working day. There was only one bridge in those days, and sometimes crossing that single bridge, either way, could be a little frustrating. With the GHB, the Ambassador Bridge, completion of the Blue Water project, and the Windsor tunnel, crossings should become less of a hassle with that many alternatives.

    Very nice! That bridge is certainly in need of some TLC. As you show in all your bridge videos - hats off to the guys that go up there everyday and get it done.

    Oh man Michael, I was just watching a driving video on Port Heron and St Clair two days ago, you totally read my mind. I love the workers seeing the drone and you knodding the camera at them. You are the best!!! Love this video!!!!!!!! This is a very cool bridge, it's a HUGE bridge when you are looking at it from the shore, quite beautiful in fact.

      @@michaelanthonyvideos I bet! To be honest, i had to watch it a couple times to figure out what they were doing, really incredible, without your videos and expertise operating the drone and your creativity, we would never be able to understand how this is done. I will never know how you time it when those awesome ships pass underneath. The water is so beautiful emrald colered. I take it the State of Michigan is taking care of the bill on this bridge?

    • @michaelanthonyvideos
      @michaelanthonyvideos  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jays.4254 Regarding the bill, that’s a good question. I looked up the bridge and the U.S. and Canada owns the bridge and it’s operated by the Blue Water Bridge Authority.
      Your comment is very kind. I don’t really plan any of the drone shots so whatever happens happens. The ship just happened to be there and I was glad to get it on video. I’m working on a Port Huron video that shows more of the city.
