I have seen a good amount of bookbinding videos but I have to say, I love yours the most. So clean and simple. I am definitely going to be trying your techniques!! Thank you so much!
Thank you for making the off handed comment about if you don’t paint your fabric you need to seal it. I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t foil on my fabric then I painted it with mod podge and it works. It’s such a specific issue I couldn’t find any information on google about it. ❤
There’s something so calming about your videos so I’m on a binge ☺️ Also I just love how informative these videos are while also being so pleasing on the eye
So in love!!! I am waiting for my cover to dry now, so I’m looking for things for my next project! What kind of iron on printable transfer did you use? Did you use an inkjet printer? I’m so excited and thrilled I found your channel
Thank you!!! I've been looking for a tutorial on decorated covers for soooo long! Sadly the foil and quill are not so easy to acquire in my country, but it's something I'll be on the lookout for :)
Really cool! I'd love to see some on decorative paper covers. I also saw that spoonflower has different kinds of wallpaper. i wonder if it would be a good substitute or easy way to make your own customized book cloth, since some of it is reinforced custom printed fabric.
Me waiting for Gregory and hyacinth 😩 I love watching your videos. They’re so clear and aesthetically pleasing to watch. I’ve wanted to bind my books for a very long time but couldn’t as I didn’t have the materials nor the time but now watching your tutorials I might actually give it a go. ❤
I LOVE your tutorials, they are so simple and informative! Could you list the materials you used? I can't find heat tranfer paper that you can use with a inkjet :( and the clear coat too, which one is it? Does it get sticky? Sending love and thank you so much!
I really likes the serie, I need to do it to some of my favorite book that have not pretty cover. Question about the decorations : wouldn't it have been easier to do it with the cricut and then stick on the page?
Hello. Thanks for the tutorial. I have a question. Is there a way to create that kind of covers with transfer paper but with golden foil? I mean to create the titles directly. Any similar technique? Thanks in advance.
What edition did you use to make the designs to print onto the transfer paper?? A lot of transfer papers from Avery have entire own design studios online to work with, did you use the one that came with the transfer paper?
hey these turned out so so pretty,i want to try this too but i don't have a printer at home, can you help me with that please?like is there something i can do about it?
@@extracozydiy yea i was thinking about doing that also i was thinking if i could make stuff with gold leaf, but I'm not sure if that would work on the cloth
What kind of transfer paper is this? The only kind I can find has a white background not a transparent background. Do you remember the name of the brand?
@@karunasrikureja8039I found heat n bond lite which could be taped to printer paper around the border and then printed on. It only works with an inkjet printer
What transfer paper did you use for that? The one you linked doesn’t realy work because it leaves white parts after heating it over. And not transperent as yours in the video. So it wont work for any texts.
Oh no I'm sorry ! I will remove it from the links ! I actually bought mine at "action" witch is a sort of dollar store where I live and couldn't find the same anywhere on internet 😔 www.action.com/fr-fr/p/2523150/papier-transfert-pour-textile-avec/
What kind of transfer paper did you use? The brand listed is different and I can’t seem to find it anywhere ! I’ve tried everything to salvage this project
Hi! This video is so informative I love it 🥰 But can I ask, what kind of transfer paper did you use? Was it inkjet pigment or was it inkjet dye ink? I can’t find one for dye ink anywhere :((
How do you change the color of the texts? Like the blue book had blue roses, the pink book has red roses? Do you have a special printer or do you just choose the color on your computer and print with a normal printer? 😁 love your videos!! Super informative, can’t wait to get started myself!
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo ! Très informative, agréable et que dire du résultat... Un détail me perturbe tout de même, où est le tome de Hyacinthe et Gregory ?
Im not sure I understand the part with the printed flowers on the transparent foil (I understood the golden part though)…I just don’t get how you print on the transfer foil Please help meeee
It is a transfer paper for light fabric I found in a dollar store near me. you can print on it with a regular inkjet pinter and transfer it to your fabric with an iron. Normally it is mostly for t-shirts or so but i used it for my book.

It looks so easy and so hard at the same time😭😂 beautiful covers!
I agree😂
The clear coat was acrylic varnish (gloss I think), for anyone wondering.
That is what I was wondering, thank you!
I literally screamed "YES, I DO!" at the beginning 🙈 I'm super excited to try this with my books :D
Thank you so much for showing a way to make beautiful covers with regular cheap tools!
okay this was a bit too quick for me so I'll need to rewatch it again and again. thank you for all the 3 videos!!
Your tutorial is so amazing that I felt confident enough to do this after watching once👀

This seems like a good idea if one really wants their own covers!! :D
Wow this is beautiful 😍 thank you for sharing!
love this tutorial, it's super helpful. one question tho, what type of clear coat do you use to seal the covers? thanks!
Just a guess, but maybe mod podge?
@@piogal34 Mod podge can get sticky though :/ so I dont think it’s that
@@heartsDmise Oh yeah, good point! I tried to slow down the video to see what the bottle was and all I could see was “Varnish”.
What clear coat did you add to seal the design that you transferred onto cover?
So gorgeous!
Hi!! I love your tutorial!! A question I have is how do you get the design onto the transfer paper?
Where did you find your design ? On internet ? Or did you use a site ? Exept that i love your video😍

tres beau!
What material did you use for the clear finishing coat? It kindof looked like white glue but I'm guessing it's something else?
Probably some sort of varnish
mod podge probably?
It looked very similar to my acrylic varnish
I searched it up and it looked really similar to van bleiswijck acrylic varnish (gloss). I'm not sure tho...
How did you create the design on the cover? Because I'm not very good at drawing so I was curious if there was another way
Sooooo pretty
wow, you're super talented! You must really love it to be ready to spend so much time on it, I wouldn't be able to do it xD
What kind of sealant did you use after you painted and put the words on?
What do you use to seal the covers?
this is so inspiring , thanks!
What did you use to seal your cover? The protective coating.

What could I use instead of board
Beautiful!! ❤️❤️ have to try!
What software did you use to make the design on the transfer paper?
Wonderfull 😍 What product is used to seal the project and do the clear cote ?
i want to know too!

What did you use to protect your book?
what product was used as the clear coat at the end? is it just glue?
BEAUTIFUL 😍
For the cover printed on the transfer paper, can that be made using an inkjet printer with sublimation sheets?
Hi ! I did use an inkjet printer ☺️
@@extracozydiy Thanks for getting back!
What did you use at the end to seal it?
Peanuts Lou! Your website is returning an error. Says it isn't connected to a domain yet.
What was the transfer paper you used?
Gorgeous job! Just a question: what do you use to seal the covers at the end?
Same question
Acrylic varnish, I think she used gloss finish
Should I gild the pages before I work on the cover?
hey these turned out so so pretty,i want to try this too but i don't have a printer at home, can you help me with that please?like is there something i can do about it?
You may be able to visit your local library and use their printer for a small fee!

Where did you get your transfert paper and can it be bought on Amazon ?
May I ask what printer ink is used on the transfer paper. Is it toner ink or inkjet?

Where did you get the floral pattern from?:)
Does the paint crack and come off the cover as time time passes and the book is opened/closed?
Acrylic paint is flexible, so probably not
How do you get the design on it?
Please can you tell us how to make a bigger cover for bursting junk Journals

Does the acrylic paint leave that kinda chalky feel when you pick it up?
