I manage a Sunday league team and I have seen stuff like in this video go on all the time . The refs do have a lot to answer for but we must remember they are amateurs too . Just wished people would just chill and realise its a game of football for exercise and enjoyment everyone has got a job to get up for on Monday

The ref reminds me of the ref when the boys were still in the Thurrock League. During the invincible season, the one who didn’t blow for a head injury and gave the opponents the cheapest penalty at the end (forgot the opponents’ names). Nice video, like the geezer commentary :D An excellent example of the state of grassroots referees and some grassroots teams. It's everywhere, 11,6, 5 a side leagues up and down the country. I truly believe some teams just play dirty as they know they can get away with it..and have done forever.
We've had one or two ex-pro (as in former academy players at the likes of Charlton) in the sunday league team I play or on other sides. A lot of them are not much different. They are usually dynamite at one or two attributes. Like amazing at heading or hit bottom corner every shot. A lot of them had a really rough time trying to be pro too and don't want to talk about it.

I manage a Sunday league team and I have seen stuff like in this video go on all the time . The refs do have a lot to answer for but we must remember they are amateurs too . Just wished people would just chill and realise its a game of football for exercise and enjoyment everyone has got a job to get up for on Monday

The ref reminds me of the ref when the boys were still in the Thurrock League. During the invincible season, the one who didn’t blow for a head injury and gave the opponents the cheapest penalty at the end (forgot the opponents’ names). Sunday league refereeing is never going to be perfect but consistency is needed...

Nice video, like the geezer commentary :D An excellent example of the state of grassroots referees and some grassroots teams. It's everywhere, 11,6, 5 a side leagues up and down the country. I truly believe some teams just play dirty as they know they can get away with it..and have done forever.

We've had one or two ex-pro (as in former academy players at the likes of Charlton) in the sunday league team I play or on other sides. A lot of them are not much different. They are usually dynamite at one or two attributes. Like amazing at heading or hit bottom corner every shot. A lot of them had a really rough time trying to be pro too and don't want to talk about it.
