Great result from Palmers. Manor house team clearly come for abit of trouble, not the whole team but 1 or 2. Kev never a red at worst a yellow. Lewis did well not to react to the number 12. Their line were clearly trying to wind people up.
100%. I'd love to play again but I don't because I'm not interested in breaking a leg or having to deal with people like no.12. It comes down to the referees really, half the time they don't even blow the whistle for a potential leg breaking tackle.
i love this sort of games cus i’ve got teammates who will protect me it happened to me and my team in a friendly a couple weeks ago the game was cut short at the end because of a tackle that happened to our winger and btw i’m 19 n playing for a men’s team so obviously teammates are gonna protect me

Problem is, when referees make tough decisions and start taking appropriate actions in terms of cautions and dismissals, they get accused on 'ruining the game'. Stop telling refs this and they'll be more inclined to use the appropriate sanctions.

@@caljackz7541 that’s amazing it wouldn’t be allowed. if there’s clear video evidence of the situation, they could determine what happened pretty easily, instead of hearsay. I think @Smiv does a good job of clearly showing what happened and clearly who was at fault, but still staying above it. Louis too, that’s hard to do in the moment, but the boys pulling out the win is ultimately the best way to deal with a team like that.

I know some refs talk about letting the game flow, letting real football happen, even not wanting to make it too expensive for the players, but at this point you’ve really got to pull the cards out. Wouldn’t be surprised to have seen 8 yellows in this match. The fact there was one yellow but two reds shows the ref has let things boil over.
For a group of thugs they spend a lot of time rolling around on the floor. Perhaps if they'd spent less time in drama in school they might have won. Don't know why you lot have been reported to the league.

Referees should be able to sense when a game is getting too heated. Start carding for tackles and it will stop. If you leave the game spiral, it WILL spiral. On the other hand, lads going in two footed and looking for scraps should also consider seeking therapy because there's some emotional shit they gotta deal with if they can't keep the cool playing a Sunday league game. You're not going to the prem mate, relax.

Played a team like this, except the team I played against was a pushover team. They were all far younger than the lads I play with, most of them are in their 30s and 40s, they appointed me the captain because I’m one of the younger guys and can play the full 90 minutes, so you could imagine the scenes when my player and one of the other teams players got into a fist fight over the 5 fouls committed by the other player on mine within the first 20 minutes of the match. I got a punch to the eye for trying to break up the fight from the other teams captain, he came up behind and punched me as I grabbed my own teammate. They paired my brother and me at center half and we took turns with hard challenges on their captain, ball first of course, and when all was said and done, went up to him and told him to get off my field. Wish we would’ve played them again because that was an easy 3-0 victory considering we started the game a man short because of a lack of bench players, and ended up with 10 men either way, they ended with 9, which shows what kind of team they were.
Like that Lewis seems to have a bit of bite in his game these days. May have always been there, but never came across in the highlights up until the last couple of games. Up the Palmers!
