This wonderful piece plays after the Ada segment when Leon reaches the Monitor Room and has to collect all six electronic chess plugs to save Ada. This track is pretty much an arrangement of The Marshalling Yard ~ The Second Half from the original Resident Evil 2 Soundtrack. - เพลง

Best song in the remake. Really hits the mood of the game. You almost want to stay in the Monitor Room and keep listening to it and just never leave that safe space.

The Cheif’s office music also loops, at least until you do Sherry’s segment... I can’t understand why CapCom doesn’t release a patch to make all the same room themes loop. It doesn’t seem like they would’ve purposefully made them not do that.

I played this game in summer during hot nights and the time i got to this room idk why but my whole self just stopped take make me enjoy the music with the warm night, and since then everytime i listen to it i remember that moment and i feel so relaxed

It's interesting that this ambient theme takes subtle resemblances from "The Marshalling Yard 2nd half", even though such a place never existed in the remake.
I do cherish the original music, but this take on it also holds a lot of nostalgic value. The way this music presents itself is like how a memory in our own minds presents itself to us. Blurred, far away and distant. Yet somehow still recognisable

I used to stream my playthrough of RE2 for my girlfriend, she was so funny, and she helped make it less scary. That's over now, RE4 didn't feel right without her.. When I listen to this music I think of those good times.

For me the best soundtrack of the game ; in something reminds me of "The Marshalling Yard (The First Half)" from the first Re2, audible in the factory, before going down into the umbrella.

@nick2000 Claire's didn't hit this hard, in Leon's game you just feel the desperation to get to Ada & this music almost gives a lil peace knowing you're almost there 👍🏿✅️
@@SithLordNefaar022 I’d argue Claire’s story is way better and emotional but Leon’s is more fun and action oriented
This is the only save room theme thats on a loop. Was a weird experience after all the silence and after hours playing on stress. It gave me a slight romantic vibe and a "lets save Ada no matter what" feeling and gave me strenght to explore the depth of the sewers. I guess the developers threw a cookie at the player at this point.
But it doesnt really feel like RE, it fits very well, but i would imagine this in Silent Hill after a boss fight.

I usually dont share things because im a introvert, but this song puts me in such a good mood.....I love this tune so much somtimes when I get my four year old daughter for the week, I put this on my speakers in my house and its funny because she dosent even know where this is from but she likes it like I do. I swear I will let this play and just stare at her and in that very moment its like the closest thing to heaven for me like all my problems are absolved. Its crazy how music and somebody you love with every fiber of your being can truly put you at peace with all this bullshit going on in the world....

If i were an alien i would consider music is a strange thing indeed, a beauty tho that humans created it and they keep on going. However as a human its also strange while some music leaves me without any feeling, some cuts deep into the feels, make you calm,relaxed, happy, sad. Amazing thing. RE OST does it all all the time for me.

I hear re4 save theme a bit of "searching the past" from silent hill shattered memories a touch of the basement theme from re2 original...it's good I like it

Yes, some of the notation structures are kept in tact in vital areas, even though the piece itself has become extremely obscure and ambient. You have a good musical ear.
It's almost like the composers wanted a deliberate attempt at making the music we remember...to become a memory. Hence why the structure became so translucent

Do you mean it plays in the same spot in the remake game as the marshaling yard did in the original? If so, which part is that? And is it in both Claire and Leon’s play through?
The Sewer monitor room music from RE2 remake is the equivalence of the marshaling yard music from RE2 classic
and yes it is both characters in both games!

this track doesnt give me the feelings, that the OG track gave me. in og, i had that feeling of dispair, little hope, still bad and evil things glooming, while beein granted a moment of rest, knowing, you cant save the world, you can just stop it from getting worse

Yeah it really is, because you get in there and see Ada in the trash compactor room and it really gives you the vibe of Leon slowly trying to make his way in there to save her.

The remake meant to set its own identity’s not mimic one for one, the classic. Both are great games in their own right and I would easily place them as a 1a and 1b type of situation.
