Please, do I have to do the manual edge finder or probing for (X&Y) Axis with all the tools in the Mastercam before running the program. Thank you
I use IPS for that witch is like 3xtimes faster, never seen tools probed like that. But my controller is from 2007 and looks mutch different... Does this Haas also have IPS?
Here I am using a half inch gauge block and dropping the tool at half thou increments
Can someone explain how probe detects the shell mill insert? Don't you need to detect both the lowest point of the insert?
Please, my question as a beginner, should I measure for (X& Y axis) in addition to Z before cutting out chips
What’s your personal preference if you were probing a larger diameter insert drill? I would think to use the same steps as a shell mill
When the rotating shell mill was lowered to touch the sensor, didn't it likely do some damage to it? Big rotating tool touches stationary sensor.....
There is a laser reader that is pointed at it and senses it instead of actually touching it. Also the tool spins backwards so it can’t cut
You don't need to measure and key in length on center tools, machine will find length offset automatically
In school on emco f1 cnc (old) we have to go bouth x and z and y
I think Ill just stick to my piece of paper and coming down 1 thou at a time
