Greek sounds like Spanish, lol. And it is so soothing. The words flow so good. I love it.

When I started learning Spanish , my teacher advise was, pronounce every Spanish word like you would a Greek word and I'm often told that I have very good pronunciation. I think this is because the 2 languages are phonetically very similar .

This was a great episode, I am writing english as my Greek are gia klamatta, . In regards to a couple of the people you interviewed mainly the guy from kilkis, I moved up from the states and in less than 2 weeks had set up a lawncare and snow removl company, a delivery service together with a buddy of mine so there are ways to not only survive but also make some serious money. but if you except the state to bail one out it wont happen. Now granted you have t hussle to make it. In summary I think most of the Greeks that emigrate to the states or Canada are very poorly educated due to the Grek schooling and also as we are famous for our relaxing ways they see this as a wake up call. we left Greece many years ago in the late 60s and I love Greece in the summers but when it comes to creating wealth without kombina and the other ways we do business there ...... Anyway Greece is great in the summer . Kudos to your channel great work guys

I really like your interview style, thanks for the regular videos! I saw that Easy French uploaded "What can you buy with 5€ in Paris". Would love to see an Athens Version of that. Another topic I would be interested in is: "Living on the countryside". How do People make a living there or do they just grow all of their own Foods. Especially as you see so many People moving away from Greece, like we saw in this video, I would like to know if growing your own food is a popular option to live. Maybe something for future videos

Would've liked to have heard from real Greek-Canadians (young, born and raised there). Dimitrakopoulos from Kastoria was close enough, but he's old generation. The rest were Ελλαδίτες who can't really speak for what it means to be Greek-Canadian.

As for the comment around the mark 6:30 where the Greek American listener said they're American ... that is her personal view. It's not the view of all Greek Americans. I'm sure the same phenomenon can be found in Canada.

In Australia, many of us (with Greek parents) identify as Greek Australians, or some say Australian born Greeks. Occasionally, rarely, I hear someone say they're Australian of Greek origin.

Yes , well in USA it’s the great melting pot , we love all our different heritages , as a second generation Greek American, I’m American even if they call me Greek here , if I go to Greece they will call me American ! Because the politics suck every where and Greece isn’t even really as Greek as it was in the 70’s when I lived there - it’s just a Western European country now ??? Anyways I love Greece still , but the writing is on the wall - unless The EU evaporates - Greece is more ancient history

The thing is that interethnic marriages make the situation worse, they speed up the process of assimilation, which makes the results of such marriages less patriotic and they forget their roots. Unfortunately….
