Plumbella was involved in making the Pastel Pop kit, if you watch her video she explains she was asked by the Sims to think of a theme for a kit and she did this which is super cool!
6:47 personally, I wasn't interested in the high school pack, but i loved the build buy of it, so I'm glad i can get a similar vibe from the pastel kit
The nostalgia of that flower shelf! I had a 4 tier white shelf that had pink, blue, and purple flowers between tiers in my room when I was a kid. late 90s/early 2000s. It was where I kept my Barbies and my Playstation and Gamecube. The memories!
The carpet with the squiggly lines from the Pastel Kit actually reminds me of carpets that I see in photos of old 80's style arcades or in casinos in Las Vegas.
I believe the mirror goes with the pastel one as well. I don't plan on buying them but I love that there are more nice things for console players and people who don't like CC to add to their game. Yes it costs but if you're interested in it, I say have at it!!

I pretend the ugly tile surfaces in the pastel kit is inspired by Rubik's Cube and design around that. Total 80's room LOL. Ngl I chuckled a little when you said it was teen themed, other than the double bed I was getting half & half toddler/teen feels. It'll be great for my dollhouse games and I do quite like the cow print option, even in my CC I don't have a lot of that. The bookshelf with/without flowers is quite cewt! Too bad about non functioning clutter, but it IS nice to have some more clutter that isn't CC.

These both look great... but then I remember I can get something very very similar from CC creators for free (not to mention the stuff they actually make usable, like toddler toys they can actually play with and gain skills or the toy kitchen both toddlers and kids can play with a bunch of ways). Unless a person is playing on console I don't really see a huge need to buy any of the kits.

Thanks for the review and your ideas of how to use the kits! I love that the Sims team finally started to create matching furniture. Matching colors and prints of sofas and chairs and so on. It's sad they didn't add some matching new curtains with the pastel kit though
First thoughts: I'm not buying shit until they fix the loyalty trait issue. My Sims' relationships have tanked and I'm going to need therapy IRL from all the toxicity. Secondly, the Pastel decor is adorable but it relies too heavily on "peak pandemic" Tiktok/IG DIY trends. I'm surprised there isn't a foam cloud mirror in there.
I like both of them. The clutter one is more my style than the other, but my favorite kit is Bust the Dust-unpopular opinion, I know. I just hate that it’s literally not working in my game since High School Years came out. 😢
Not to bug you, but can your next Sims 4 experiment be a combination of the woohoo wellness mod with the sims who were in relationships/cheating on each other? Also, I’m not exactly a fan of kits, but I’m kinda interested in both of these new clutter ones. For the clothes kits, I just get bgc cc versions.
lol they’re gaslighting us. so many of these items should have been useable by Sims. like the weights could have been an item that sims actually use in the fitness stuff pack.
What would be cool is if they gave us these in an update instead of being greedy asshats. I love Plumbella but her kit isn’t my style for gameplay. I’ll probably eventually snag the clutter one bc I love love love clutter.
The pastel pop kit Plumbella aka Jesse helped design, I really wish EA gave simmers a cut of the profits though, that'd be the only reason for me to buy them. To support simmers and highlight their creativity ✨️
I'm still on the dislike side for kits I think their so un-needed I see them as just quick cash grabs for kits that will probably be used once and never touched again but I am glad ppl seem to be enjoying them

Console players don't have access to custom content, so the packs are great for us. Well, not always great, but you know what I'm saying.
