Based on my own findings in EvE, I'd say that the myth of a completely player driven market, although it sounds good, is a little misleading. The market is artificially infused with a range of certain items by NPC corps in order to keep a steady supply of affordable hardware for the space cowboys to smash. I found this out the hard way by getting into production only to find that it was impossible to eek out a profit margin on the things I could produce. Granted the lecturer does say "almost", but he also repeats the Eve doctrine mantra, so I thought I'd just mention it. Also note that this is a long time ago. It may have changed since I played, but I doubt it.
Very well done. If you offshore trade, don't expose more than 20% of your assets to loss. Don't get greedy and try and move too much at once to trade. Trust me, Eve punishes fools.
