Re: your comments on the ride quality. You have the Veloce, it’s harder sprung. Drive the Speciale for example, same engine, power etc. but softer sprung. Not a particularly fair assessment of the car. Don’t agree with All your comments. I’ve had my Stelvio for a couple of years now and before that, the Giulia which, incidentally, has a very good turning circle compared to the Stelvio, why? Because the Giulia is not an AWD! You really should have mentioned that! Finally, if you found the sports seats too narrow why did you not simply adjust them? The sports seats have a small built in compressor that can adjust the bolsters to the driver’s requirements, you would have to be extremely large not to be accommodated
Guessing pre-facelift G31 BMW 530d Touring. Xdrive if he’s lucky. My brother slid on spilt diesel and head-on into a truck coming the other way. He survived and fully recovered, significantly helped by a nurse driving the car behind doing all the right things very quickly.
Been considering one of these for a while as I don't need a fast daily given how slow the speed limits are these days, but an older Quadrifoglio isn't much more money and would probably depreciate a lot less 🤔
uno swing e un errore Funny how i would still take this car over its rivals, purely down to the fact that it's an Alfa, and it would definitely make me seem more interesting.
Get a Prius v if you need used with mpg,, the way you take care of your car really says a lot about the car you should get. You don't need an Alfa and you don't understand an Alfa. Prius or Rav 4 hybrid will do fine for you.

I had arteon in my mind as well :) maybe because I deciding between Stelvio and Arteon right now :) both looks differently than the others. stelvio is even looking one level nicer, but beside of look (interior / exterior) and driving.. hm I think that Arteon is better. cons that you mentioned with baby seat, not enough roomy, ride comfort .. I was afraid of these things and now you have confirmed that it really is. so you helped me to choice it seems 😊
Hmm more space and not an SUV Was originally going to guess supurb but even thought its pretty much german, its classed as czhech. Focusing on thr more space and to be different from the classic wagon guess, its a VW transporter california?
I own a 2019 Stelvio (USA) and I think it still looks great. The infotainment isn’t the latest and greatest but I don’t even care. CarPlay works and that’s all that matters. The Stelvio looks better than an X3 which I drove for a few days before buying my car. Alfa Romeo doesn’t wow you with superfluous tech because it’s a drivers car. If you want the newest shiny toy, get a Benz or BMW or Audi.
@@tonyvargas368 I'm with you, Tony! The design still looks great and I don't care for the trend to large info screens for operating a vehicle on the move.
@@RyderGaming Isn't that reversed this time, such that the new Stelvio comes first? In any event, if ICE powertrains are dead I'm buying used of the current generation instead. No EVs for me.
Geez dude you really know how to wreck a loaner. That damage in the rear boot will not buff out.....

Best realistic review of this car ever. Thank you for the objective review! Very useful.
Thanks for the kind comment!

I'm not that lucky! Glad your brother is OK
Great review. I'm definetly guessing a 5 series you're going for??

I'd absolutely go Quadrifoglio if you can. An SUV that you can spin around in a car park by flooring it with an armful of lock gets my vote.
Wow, do you think I would disagree that much... Absolutely loved test reviewing it..
Be interesting to see if the facelifted version fairs any better...,
I feel it rides a bit better... not much different though

I know what you mean - there's a lot to be said for the standing-out factor and not driving a German rival
My guess is the ride quality has a lot to do with the tires that are on the car.
I think so too. I have a 21 plate Veloce on 20" rims with Hankook SUV tyres and the ride is excellent.
Yeah, I'm not sure how stiff the Vredestein sidewalls are. Wouldn't be my choice of tyre tbh!
@@geoffharrison3409 Same, only it is 2023 with adaptive. Excellent ride, i guess he is more Renault/Citroen driver.

I love internet weirdos who gatekeep car brands. Hope your mum makes you a nice breakfast today
Too mich soy in your diet
A brand new one starts from £51k 😮
Next car guess?
6pot BWM 5 Series.
Current car?
Vicino ma senza sigaro
It's a 4 pot and not a BMW. Boo

Shame.
You should have a 530d Estate really!
I think it’s the complete package for your use case 🤓
Be happy you are plugging in for car play, wireless drops quite a lot
I have a thing called AAwireless which makes the Alfa's wired carplay fully wireless and it's flawless.
I'm guessing BMW 5 series estate! Or Audi A6 or Merc E. Cover all the bases! What, it's a Vito? Well I never
What about the marmite option: Arteon Shooting Brake!
