While it is a beast and a half when it comes to maneuverability, it lacks when it comes to speed and firepower. Is it worth it, though? Should you take it from Stock to Spaded? know what back in the day i would have said this aircraft would struggle but with all the new planes added and the sheer amount of bombers and strike aircraft it will see at its BR it should do pretty well at that rank

Got a free talisman back in the day for this plane, back then the 23mm were garbage.
However after the 23mm got the buff, it quickly became my favorite plane to mess around with.

dunno if it's this plane that bugs, but i keep doing 2/3 kills per game and still cant do enough money to repair it (20k sl), also, historically, the yak 17 isn't the normal RD 10 engine but a RD 10 A engine, which has 90kgf added, there is so a slight increase in the mag size, but they didn't fix it, even tho it is known, bit sad
note: as someone who is actually playing both yak 15 and yak 17, the canon on the yak 17 is a bit more playable, it has more range of effectiveness, which means i can shoot farther with less effort than I needed with the yak 15

Painfully low ammo-reserves is truly the most painful part of playing any of the Yaks.

It has terrible energy retention and won’t get past 750 kph. Although it has good guns and roll rate. Also rips a lot. It’s not great.
