See the problem is, a lot of the early season arcs people don't particularly care for but there are arcs that on name alone would bring in more people. Anything Mandalore titled is going to outdo your average Zillo Beast arc for example
Yee maybe do a few arcs per video up til maybe end of season 3 or something
Give them all click bait titles. “The one where obi-wan shows how to swing a lightsaber”
They definitely need to title them differently.

@@billyboostah6308 Multi-arc videos still take the same amount of work as doing separate arcs though. If anything doing a multi-arc video and having it fail would be WORSE. If you have three smaller videos hit 20k, but then a bigger video only pulls in 30-40k, you're bleeding.
Mandalorians have been "the bad guys" all throughout Star Wars history. They fought wars against the Jedi constantly up until Mandalore was turned into a wasteland in the final war. Duchess Satine made the Mandalorians into a pacifist society for the first time, and that was controversial. The Death Watch wanted a return to the old warrior ways. The Children of the Watch that Din Djarin is in is pretty unknown still are a pretty big unknown, but they're probably some real religious Death Watch splinter group
And almost every single time the Mandalorian Empires have fallen, it was exclusively because they’ll aligned themselves with the Sith, who would always eventually betray them. Mandalorians have essentially spent their entire existence shooting themselves in the foot out a craving for battle.

They're criminals, so they don't behave like Mandalorian warriors. They're also the people who saved Mando. You'll see in future episodes how they went from gangsters in Mandalorian armour to honourable warriors in exile.
We don’t know if the “children of the watch” and “death watch” are the same group
Stuff happens in the show (no spoilers) and the Death Watch has a splinter group who want to go back to the "old ways" and call themselves the Children of the Watch. So, they are currently members of Death Watch at this episode and Mando is not a Mandalorian yet, he's still a child living with his biological family. There's a few theories on who the Armourer is, and one of the possible candidates will show up in later seasons as a prominent member of Death Watch.
@@N1ghtb1ood the shriek-hawk is the sigil of house Vizsla, The death watch painted their armour with Red and Blue shriek Hawks to honour Tor and Pre-Vizsla . the Mandalorians who rescued Din D’Jarrin as a child all had White Shriek Hawks. The children of the watch could be a splinter group or a different organization founded by another member of house Vizsla, I think the coloring of the symbol signifies which branch of the house they belong to.

I genuinely enjoy these watches the most, I get so disappointed that they're not performing well. :'(
Maybe a good way to do it is just combine multiple arcs set in certain seasons and compile them into like 1 hour like vids once a month or something
same, i know it's part of their livelihood but i wish that wasn't one of the reasons they took that break, i get wanting to slow down because it didn't pick up as much as they wanted but because of low views is unfortunate
especially since it seems like it's a bigger factor now that they're enjoying it more

I mean it helps to pay attention to what they’re saying. Like how they call Deathwatch an “extremist group” and how the Dutchess is a pacifist. Also the Mandalorian takes place about 25-30 years after the clone wars. So having those standards to these mandalorians means you’re gonna have a bad time.

The Clone Wars videos might not get as many views as other series, but there are still a consistent 20-30K of us that tune in - please don't stop!
It starts getting both seriously better and more mature in season 3 so you really don't have that much further to go.

“Obi-Wan has been losing his light saber a lot” ….I mean to be fair he is fighting warriors that are taught to do specifically that against jedis. If anything I think this speaks more to Obi-Wans skill that even disarmed he usually ends up winning in the end
Just look at his fight with Jango Fett Obi-Wan drops his lightsaber in that one too and when he tries to Force pull back to his hands Jango grapples both of Obi-Wan’s hands and starts dragging him around.
Here is a simple way to look at the Mandalorian factions.
The Children of the Watch that Mando is a part of are a relatively small sect of religious extremists. They are zealots and the ancient Madalorian Way is their religion . They do not see Mandalore as a race/people but rather a creed (hence the foundlings). Those who follow The Way are true Mandalorians and those who don’t are not, regardless of bloodline.
The Death Watch are essentially Nationalist extremists. They want to restore Mandalore and it’s people to it’s “former glory”. They wish to restore Mandalore to it when it was planet of warriors, rather than pacifists, and they will do anything necessary to overthrow the pacifist government, including terrorism and treason. They see Mandalore as a race and a bloodline rather than a creed.
And finally the government under The Duchess Satine believes pacifism and neutrality in the Clone War is what is best for Mandalore and it’s people.
It's not confirmed, but it pretty much goes to say that "The children of the Watch" are an off-shoot of Death Watch, since we did see Din Djarin get saved by members of Death Watch in "The Mandalorian".
Don't forget the True Mandalorians. They may not have been named as such in Canon, yet, but Mandalorian Season 2 had an Easter egg mentioning Jango being a foundling of Jaster Mareel, and in the Expanded universe, he was a member of the group calling themselves True Mandalorians, the balance between the other three groups, basically.
This is when Jon Favreou and Dave Filoni started going deep on their love for Mandalorians (Favreou is the voice of Pre Vizsla) and that mutual interest lead to them collaborating on the Mandalorian TV show

Fun fact about the Mandalorian and Jedi conflict: Mandalorians were one of the first/only combatants to use slug launchers versus jedi. Unlike blasters, which reflect off sabers, slug launchers have their projectiles split and shattered against sabers, causing any jedi attempting to deflect them instead eat a face of hot shrapnel.

Stick with it. You're getting consistent viewers and overtime these will build viewership. As someone pointed out, you are hitting around 20k pretty consistently with these. I've looked at other reaction channels and it seems like people like to binge Clone Wars reactions. They've done very well on other channels. Putting these in their own playlist and getting to the later arcs like Witches of the Mist and Umbara will definitely draw more people. I know that, for me, the lack of enthusiasm going into them and the inconsistent upload of the series was an initial turnoff as a viewer. However, I'm very excited that you have started to like the show. Fans that watch Clone Wars reactions really look forward to you being surprised and getting to the good stuff.

Fun detail but Pre Vizsla in the 2nd episode (when he appears as the hologram) is actually wearing modified Clone armour and helmet as they didn't have any Mandalorian armour created for the season so they had to rework the Clone armour and helmet to make it look as close to Mandalorian armour covering most of it up in a Cloak and of course the hologram hiding a lot of the detail. If you really look close enough you can tell right away that it isn't actual Mandalorian armour. The 2nd episode was created very early on in Season 2 which explains why they didn't have the models finished yet unlike the first episode. The Cloak also features the Mandalorian Mythosaur symbol (Same symbol seen on Boba Fett's Armour) on his cloak instead of the Death-watch symbol.
Season 1 and 2 along with Season 3 is a little awkward to get through more so with the animation quality changing all the time since season 3 looks much better than the first two but then you got the timeline order that puts Season 3 episodes back to back with season 1 and 2 creating a rollercoaster ride of up and down levels of animation quality along with writing. Once you get deep into Season 3 and then Season 4 you'll be smooth sailing. Season 3, and 4, are also really good you'll be invested by then but Season 5, 6, and 7 are next level both in animation and story telling along with overall quality. I'd say Season 5 and 6 are the darkest so you'll enjoy that aspect but Season 3 and 4 also have some great stories to moments along with mature themes.
Would love to see you guys continue this. Even if you don't continue on TH-cam/Patreon I would implore you to watch the show on your own! It has some stories that I believe can change the way you look at certain characters, the force, clones, and so much more in Star Wars. I'm always shocked when someone tells me how big of a Star Wars fan they are and they say they haven't seen Clone Wars and Rebels. I honestly believe they are a must watch! The Mortis arc isn't too far away from what you guys are watching and it genuinely changed what I knew about Star Wars when I was a kid watching the show.

Not only am I early for once, but early to arguably one of the best sub plots of this show. Others have said it before, but this show really does get so much better and more mature. As the rest have said, once you're past the initial "child focused" episodes, it shifts drastically to full fan service
Yeah as long as there’s consistency with the CW videos the views will pile up a lot as the series goes along. That’s where I’ve found and kept up with other TH-camrs watching it, especially once it picks up mid season 3 but y’all are honestly my favorite reactors already! I relate heavy with Holden and how my viewing experience started out

Also, there weren't different factions of Mandalorians at this point. That was because of the purge. The Mandalorian really did throw a monkey wrench into the lore. So many people focused on the helmets now. New fans to Star Wars will probably forever be confused.

I really hope you guys can continue with the clone wars it’s been so much fun seeing you two learn and understand and fill in certain gaps that existed, because you hadn’t seen the clone wars. I would suggest maybe one video per week or a layout like that so people know clone wars is still there and over time can will increase in views as it will be a normal show uploaded on the channel!

pls continue, i and many others want to see your reactions because this show is so great and contains the best star wars content that exists. it only the first 2 seasons that are hit or miss. Also i am sure the videos will get more views over time. On your older clone wars reactions many were disappointed that you stopped and maybe stopped watching your channel and now have to re-discover it. i am sure the later episodes reactions will get tons of views because thats what everyone is waiting for!

The Duchess was named after Nichole Kidman’s character in Moulin Rouge where she stared opposite Ewan McGreggor. Although the show's writers have come out and said that it was just a coincidence.
Dutchess Satine's ceremonial garb is based on unused Star Wars: Episode 1 (1999) design concepts for Queen Amidala by Iain McCaig. Likewise, the armor of her guards is inspired by McCaig's early designs for Darth Maul.

Being brutally honest here, and i know it's hard, but the viewers will be more engaged if you guys are. Not saying it's your fault that the early seasons are much slower and more childish, but your attitude in the beginning wasn't that best. Clearly you are starting to enjoy the show more so that helps. I have no doubt that once you get to certain parts of season 3 and definitely season 4 and beyond, you'll enjoy it even more and the viewers will also

Obi-Wan as Padawan, (His teen years, pre Phantom Menace days with Qui-Gonn), he and Dutchess Satine were an item, but chose the Jedi life.
Ventress was a recurring villain, but later on a recurring ally of sorts to Obi-Wan, she gets her own love interest down the road.
Pre-Visla is voiced by future MCU Legend, Star Wars story lead, Jon Favreau. His first step in his rise to power lol
Mandatory faction work like this:
The main one was a pacifist state, after getting rocked by losing to Jedi in ancient wars and Mandalorian civil wars and having their planet being a desert.
Deathwatch was the banished losing side of the civil war, and kept Mandalore's old militant roots, who evolve into the strict set that Dinn is/was apart of.
Then there's Bo-Katan's sect, who you'll meet later, they just want Mandalore to be stable, but ready to fight.

I personally love these Clone wars vids and would love to see them continue, however I understand your situation so do what you gotta do
The Mandalorians are the ancient enemies of the Jedi (this is briefly stated in Mando when he's being told about the Jedi once he's beginning to try to track down leads to return Baby Yoda to his people), and are historically a proud, but warlike people. The arc you just watched somewhat lays the groundwork that empowers the more peaceful groups like our Mano's clan, and Bo Katan's people (who you'll see if you continue the mando arcs in TCW, she's also voice acted by the same actress that eventually portrayed her in live action in the Mando) to govern their home planet.
Regarding continuing the show, I agree that later seasons will generate more interest (particularly arcs involving Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka - mostly season 5 and 6). One possible idea that I have is that you could have Patreon polls for what arcs that people want to see reactions for, and then you can always watch the other parts of the show without worrying about recording and uploading them? Either way, I'm enjoying watching your journey!

Two options on how to watch The Clone Wars PROPERLY (spoiler-free below):
Option 1: Two arcs in one video
It doesn’t hurt, story is abundant, especially in a show like this to make Star Wars on Disney plus a much richer experience, especially for Mandalorian, BoBF, Kenobi, and the upcoming Ahsoka series (excited for that one)
Option 2: Fan-favorite and significant arcs. Also two in one video. To me, the show is great as a whole, but since it plays out like an anthology, you won’t miss out if a few skips are tolerable for the both of you
Arcs to watch (mostly based on the best arcs from Gamerant and Screenrant)
Nightsister Arc (S3 EP 12 to S3 EP 14)
Mortis Arc (S3 EP 15 to EP 17)
Umbara Arc (S4 EP 7 to S4 EP 10)
Undercover Arc (S4 EP 15 to S4 EP 18)
Revenge Arc (S4 EP 19 to S5 EP 1)
Shadow Conspiracy Arc (S5 EP 14 to S5 EP 16)
Jedi Trial Arc (S5 EP 17 to S5 EP 20)
Then all of Season 6 and Season 7, then you’re good to go.
If it were me, I would do option 2.
Why the long comment? Context. For a franchise like Star Wars, it’s the key. With Dave Filoni, the supervising director under the watchful eye of George Lucas, he has directed the Mandalorian and BoBF.
Fun Fact: Jon Favreau, who has partnered with Dave Filoni on Mando and BoBF, voices Pre Vizla, the leader of the Death Watch that you just saw.
Filoni and Favreau are attached to nearly every major Star Wars TV project in the future.

Well, there's still a huge gap between here and the mandalorian. Even after finishing the clone wars, you still have to go through star wars rebels to catch up with the maandalorian/mandalore narative.

My personal hope is that you guys keep making & uploading these Clone War videos as I'm really enjoying them. I'm not sure how many views you consider a success but I thought 20-30k was pretty good.
Even if you don't continue the videos here I hope you continue to enjoy the series. Clone Wars seemed to grow up alongside it's intended audience as the stories got progressively darker & more intense. There still will be the occasional kid friendly episode or arc & it retains a certain tone so it may test your patience.
But the show as whole is still worth watching for the goodness that is yet to come. There's a reason why these characters became so beloved & were introduced into live action. Happy watching & hopefully by the end of your journey you'll see what the rest of us Star Wars nerds see.
It sucks that the views on this series aren’t where they need to be. I think it’s probably just because the early seasons of the series aren’t as interesting as later ones so you’re getting less non subscriber viewers. As much as I love these videos, if they’re not fiscally feasible I totally get it. I just recommended you do what you gotta do to watch the series, whether on camera or in your free time.

It's such a shame that this show isn't having enough support. About the mandalorians, I think Din is an honorable man, he's like Steve Rogers, and this mandalorians are like Walker, with ambitions. In fact the clan who saved him where the Death Watch and the clan of the government of Concordia were the clan of the mando who fought against Din in The Book of Boba Fett.

You guys could record your reactions for a whole season and splice it all in one video, or in separate parts. Rather than the "arch" line, you go through the show like:

I absolutely love the Clone Wars, it's my favourite Star Wars content of all time, and I have been enjoying this series. It sucks that the series is not getting you as much views as your other content does. Making it a patreon exculsive is a good idea for y'all, but it would suck for me because, I would subscribe for video content on your patreon but I need subtitles/auto-captions, as I am deaf and have to rely on them or else I wouldn't understand anything the show was saying or anything you and Jen was saying, and patreon does not have that feature unlike TH-cam. Do what is best for y'all, even though I would be disappointed, but your income comes first.

Fun Fact: Ewan McGregor, who plays Obi-Wan in the prequel trilogy and the upcoming Obi-Wan show, was in a movie called Moulin Rouge and his love interest played by Nicole Kidman in the film was named Satine. In The Clone Wars, the duchess of Mandalore is also named Satine and has a slight romantic connection to Obi-Wan in the series.

More Clone Wars!!! I wasn't sure it was ever going to come back though I was glad to see that I had missed several videos since you started back up again so I could binge multiple at once. Hopefully you will continue so I can keep up with them.
If putting it on Patreon is the only option then so be it although I'll be completely honest that I would only wait until its finished in that case and then binge it all. That is assuming there would still be an edited version available. Even when I subscribed to a Patreon before I never bothered playing the show separately just to watch the full versions.

Death Watch is the sect depicted rescuing Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) in the first episode of that series. Their emblem is plainly visible on their pauldrons. In the second season, Bo-Katan referred to Din's covert as the "Children of the Watch," referring to Death Watch. I enjoy your Clone Wars videos but the most important thing is that you see them before "Kenobi". Do what you need to do. (Rebels too) Season 3 is where it really changes. There is a dualogy of R2 & 3PO, that is where they decided it was made for the 30+ StarWars crowd.

I was generally a bit disappointed by how the Mandalorians were depicted in the Clone Wars. All their special culture that is showcased in the Republic Commando novels is just never mentioned. They never say what makes someone a Mandalorian (it’s not being born on the planet Mandalore) The Mandalorian series does it better although there are still some things missing. The Resol'nare are never mentioned, but at least some of them are shown: wearing the beskar'gam, self defense, acting towards the good of your clan. The other actions are raising you children as Mandalorians, speaking Mando'a and following the call of the Mandalore when it is time for war.
The general presentation of Mandalorians in the Clone Wars was quite osik, whoever was responsible is a di'kut. Not all Mandalorians are humans, they are all kinds of species.
Maybe you can release TCW as an extra, basically compensate the lower interest with other videos, or maybe a sponsor for the series? Idk you will find a way Holden'buir

Part of the problem I think is that most of your audience is built in Marvel fans. The majority of your content was marvel based and thats how your channel grew. I also think that once you hit season 3 you are going to watch arcs people actually care about which are going to definitely boost your view count. I’m a die hard fan of clone wars so I watch every reaction but the general viewer is more interested in season 3 onwards. You guys are so close tho
His channel blew up when he had Matt watch all the Star Wars movies. He definitely pulled in more with the Marvel films too. As somebody who is a fan of both, i feel confident saying there's plenty of overlap between the two fandoms.

The scene in which Pre Viszla appears in hologram was a late addition, after it was decided to add two more installments featuring Death Watch. Vizsla's character model was still incomplete at the time of production and thus appears from the head down in clone trooper armor covered by a cloak that has a Mythosaur skull on the back, which would be replaced with the Death Watch symbol on his later character model.

About the Darksaber's out-of-universe origins - Pre Vizla was originally not meant to have a lightsaber. When this episode was made, he was using a vibrosword, with a cortosis weave that let it clash against lightsabers without breaking. But George Lucas decided that he didn't want a regular sword standing up to a lightsaber (despite vibroaxes already having appeared in the OT), and had the team change it; it might even have been in post, which would explain how odd the VFX for the Darksaber look in this episode.
