This was nothing short of legendary. After throwing the 1st match Kameme's Sora comes back and takes the win. The best part of this was the audience in game and outside the game chanting his name. top 10 legendary Smash Moments: Sora goes the distance in North America.
I love this set a ton - a lot of times Sonix sets feel like his opponent just trying to break through and blitz through Sonix's defense, so it was really interesting seeing Kameme play at the exact same pace, with a character who I legitimately think has a decent matchup (or at least Sonix wasn't able to download the matchup that well). Kameme played SO patient, used his spells and loops very sparingly, and didn't crack under pressure at all. He definitely deserved the dub over Sonix.
He's also very used to the playstyle. This type of play is pretty common in Japan. Camping and playing slower defensive characters is much more popular over there
I also hope Kameme comes to US to compete, but I really hope the comments would be respectful to him if he does come to US (the topic of ice on proto etc)

He shoots pellets, z drops items (whether his own or opponents), and confirms them into forward and back airs. It is the most disengaging gameplay you can watch. I'd much rather watch a 20 minute bracket set of Sonix then any of Kameme megaman sets.

As a sonic main since smash 4 I will say this is a very tough matchup. Sora has priority for a lot of your approaches, can deny most of your kill options back to ledge, and has a lot of persisting hitboxes that can't be interrupted easily. It's possible to beat Sora but it requires waiting for them to make mistakes either through using variations in your approach or messing up on purpose to condition them to acting inappropriately. Respect to Kameme.
Look I get that y’all don’t like Sonic and all but can you guys not transfer that hate onto SONIX? Sonic is a campy character by nature and he’s really just playing Sonic. Now I also hate playing against him but y’all have to understand the difference between character and player. You can hate a character but leave the player alone.

I’m a Sora main and I think it’s even or slightly in Sora’s favor. Sora has a lot of big hit boxes that stuff out Sonics approach options and he can’t really mix up his options after spindash because of Sora’s lingering hit boxes
