    Fitting your Keiser M3 Bike
Seat Height: Knee angle between 25 and 35 degrees
Seat fore and aft: Plumb line hangs down to crank/pedal junction
Handlebar height: always higher than seat height- even higher up for people with low back pain or tight hips.

Nice video. It is very common for new riders to set the seat too low. An alternative approach is to ask them to put their heel on the pedal at the six o'clock position. Leg should be straight and there should be no rocking of the hips.
Also, if the rider is tall with relatively long femur, then the bend in the knee will typically be more than for someone whose tibia is longer. So it is not essential to have a specific angle for knee flexion.

Instead of using that angle gauge why not set the seat height using the heel centered on the pedal center while leg is fully extended. Then set height of seat post and this length is checked with foot in normal cycling position.

Measurements for outdoor cycling vary based on the style of bike you are purchasing and the type of training you are doing on them. I recommend speaking with your local bike shop for outdoor bike fittings.

Saddle looks too low. She's got too much of a bend in the knee at the 6 clock position which is going to make her use her quads too much.

You are incorrect.. this is not an outdoor bike. It doesn't move. With no forward motion or velocity to help with the pedal return, one rides with the seat just as it was fitted, so as to be able to return the pedals efficiently and safely. Try walking up a flight of stairs without bending your knees significantly. Same premise.

Do the same tunings fit for cycling outdoors?

Some of the angles will be similar but it's a different animal. I recommend visiting your local bike shop for perfect bike fit.

Just setup my m3 with this guide - thanks so much. I've been riding around on my real bike with my seat too low and on the m3 in a similar position and wondering why my quads "won't adapt" after months of training haha .Suddenly got a big power output increase.
