I used to hunt coyotes at night by myself, the thought of black bear and mountain lions never bothered me. Since I’ve come to realize these things exist I don’t hunt at night anymore, even with another person. These things are terrifying. I don’t trust them whatsoever. It really pisses me off. The outdoors has permanently changed for me and I hate them for it. Thanks Fred, stay safe.

I am so glad that the Elders are finally speaking up...they have a wealth of valuable information! Much thanks to Tyler Jr. for sharing his father's terrifying experience.
I have heard from others that the hairy man CAN disappear. Some say that they can become invisible; others think that they can transport to another dimension. I think that they're spiritual beings & have special powers. One thing is for sure- I don't want to be hanging around one to find out, lol. Thanks once more, Fred. Cold or not, it hasn't affected your ability to eloquently relate Tyler Sr.'s experience to us.

I am watching this on Dec 21st the Winter Solstice, and this is definitely a story for coming into the dark, hard season for the N Hemisphere. I just came out of praying in my Medicine Wheel and I will share with you that my wish for this (and all) season(s) is that all creatures on this planet and indeed, in the multiverse, embrace compassion and forgiveness towards both each-other and ourselves. My heart goes out to ALL involved in this story, the homo sapiens, the Bushman [clearly a hominid (using tools, walking upright, etc)] the dogs, the caribou, and Fred, as always. Hope you are well soon, my friend. May all find healing in this season of reflection. A-ho.

Hey Fred!!! Was thinking about you this morning while I was having my coffee.
That Copper River Valley has a lot of creepy things happening. For a Hairy Man to just vanish and then reappear makes my skin crawl. Please thank Tyler Jr. for sharing his father's encounter. You gotta realize that that generation went thru the great depression, life for them was very hard. Then WWll came along, I was told all the stories. Now I'm trying to pass them down to my grandkids. This generation coming up is in for a big reality check.
Thank you for all you are doing and all your wisdom. These encounters must be told.

    Excellent story telling ability Fred.
The reports of them causing fear through mental focus, or making children think their friend is outside, I wonder if some of the older ones have the ability to mentally cause folks to think they disappeared? In any case it appears Hairy man has the capability to wage mental psyops. This goes to my argument these creatures can respond, or think about an issue, then form a plan at a human level, or higher. Not just react like animals, or move through instinct.
    Merry Christmas Fred.

    Mark

Wow.. crazy account.. it soaked up four high powered rifle rounds.. disapeared right in front of them.. and them came back.. no blood trail or anything.. that’s insane.. flesh and blood, but not flesh and blood.. one day hopefully we will discover what’s up with them.

Actually...he didnt say no blood trail, or did I miss it? When youre scared and full of adrenaline, combined with how fast these things move...'disappearing' when IT is also full of adrenaline and aggression, doesnt really come as a surprise here. Gotta figure it was moving at tippy top speed, in poor light....so I suspect its disappearance was due to its speed, rather than anything exotic.
