If Mjolnir is not Thor's source of power, why do they keep writing him like as if it is? I remember Thor doing crazy wierd things with Mjolnir back when I was young, like one time he sent a nuclear plant to another dimension to prevent it from destroying the city nearby while he fought the person that caused it to overload. I think she was a sand woman, can't remeber it was 35 or so years ago I read that comic. They make it seem like he needs to have it to feel strong, although there was a time when he did need to have it in his hand to not turn back into a cripple doctor dude...
"Mjolnir demonstrated to possess remnants of the God Tempest's sentience" it has the remains of the mother of thunder in it an elder god odin beat and put in mjolnir when it was just a nugget of Uru gifted to him by dwarves of nidavellir
@@kazemizu no its not before 2014 it wasn't really a thing it was just imbued with power from Odin and enchanted and in Thor: God of thunder it become canon and it's what everybody is following along with even currently so its dosent change much just before God tempest and after
The hammer reminds him if he is in the right state of mind. When Thor isn't worthy it reminds him of his failures tk be worthy of the Odin force and throne. Thor os powerful without it, it adds tk him, allows him tk channem what he has better as well. Its just a tool in the end. This has more then one weapon such as this. His belt, his armor , his boots , his helmet , he's just known more for the hammer. He dies eventually becone so powerful these tools are not needed anymore , he comes into his own power , inherits the Odin force , and eventually becomes the rune king.
Is there a more iconic weapon in comics than Mjolnir?
An argument could be made for Cap’s shield and the Batarang
Are you considering none super hero comics and those from around the world??
Mjolnir just trolls Thor. 😭

This is something that changes depending on the author.
