    NGUWE - Lyrics & translation.
    -------
( A Zulu song - Directly translated as ‘It is you’; however in some contexts of the song can also be interpreted as ‘You are’. This track is for me the Zulu sequel to ‘You Are’ (A MUST listen), seeing the similar approach of addressing God in his majesty.
    -------
    Intro:
Ngcwele, Ngcwele; Wembethe amandla njenge ngubo, uNgcwele.
[ Holy, Holy; You’re covered in Power(strength) as with a robe, You are Holy ]
Umuhle, Umuhle; uMsebenzi wezandla zakho muhle.
[ You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful; Beautiful is the work of Your Hands.]
Umkhulu Baba, Umkhulu Baba; Wawukhona ekuqaleni- usamile: Umkhulu Baba..
[ Father You are Great(Big, Majestic), Father You are Great - You were in the beginning and You still stand. You are Great,Father…]
iZulu ‘sihlalo Sakho sobukhosi; uMhlaba isenabelo sezinyawo Zakho…
[ Heaven is Your throne, The Earth is Your footstool ]
    …Ungcwele…[You are Holy]
Nguwe, Nguwe, Nguwe; *oyiNgcwele/*oyiNkosi. Nguwe, Nguwe.
[ It is You: *You are the Holy one/ *You are King. It is You]
Bayede! Bayede! Dwala la Phakade! Bayede! Bayede Kuwe wedwa…Kuwe!
[ Hail! Hail! Rock of Ages! Hail! Hail to You and only You!]
HALLELUJAH!! ( it’s the same in every language😄).
    ----END----
    Stay Blessed.

@@jessicalupiya6793 that’s interesting and maybe it’s related to Nguni group of languages but Ngoni isn’t spoken in South Africa, no such language exists here but what we have in SA is Nguni group of languages which contains Swati, Xhosa, Zulu and Ndebele in there…these 4 South African languages aren’t the same nor are they same ethnic group but they are related and ppl of SA who speak any of the 4 languages will 70-80% understand each other but not entirely

@@jessicalupiya6793 interesting, Tonga is spelt similar to Tsonga which is one of our official languages here in SA, just based on spelling there could relation there but I wouldn’t be able to say, I’m still trying to learn Tsonga so I’m not good at it. Like how does the Ngoni language of Zambia sound… is it similar to Zulu, Xhosa etc. do you have a link where I can hear it being spoken, maybe here on TH-cam?I’ll report back how much I could understand as I write and read Xhosa and Zulu pretty good, not top rate but I’m pretty good.

Hle has this amazing gift that just grabs you and sucks you into the song she's singing... and thats not even the craziest thing. On the Joyous Celebration 21 album her song showcased her talents. From start to finish technically she was flawless❤ she is a musicians dream lead vocalist. She even gives you all the clues vocally whenever there needs to be a build up, key change, release, end, etc

Greetings from South Africa my brother...We have wonderful gospel singers in SA...Do listen to an artist called LEBO SEKGOBELA, her song MANGELOI( meaning angels) is heavenly..
Hle, is an exceptional singer with lots of experience having sung with SA gospel great. You asked what it is with SA singers that touches the soul...Allow me to answer.: We SA black people when we accept Jesus , we do it whole heartedly. Our history is painful, with missionaries taking our land , colonizing and enslaving us using and distorting the word of God to push their agenda. But once, we have a true personal revelation of God's love and how HIS son Jesus is the redeemer, deliverer and our savior, we live and sing of his goodness. Most of us are still poor as unemployment is rife and there is still a lot of racial tensions....We have forgiven our oppressors. Jesus is all we have, in Him we live, breathe and have our being..We don't have much to offer Him, but we sure can sing as our salvation is too deep for us..
