This *almost* got me back into MWO but it's actually more fun to watch you play! Really enjoy the good-natured narration while you take care of business.
The Hellspawns with ECM generally make really good skirmishers. Be it dumb firing SRMs or MRMs, or using LRMs at close to medium range with a lock, you can dump a lot of damage on enemies, and still get away while they are busy with your heavier team mates. I struggle when it comes to straight one on one fights with them most of the time. But you can be a serious damage enhancer for the rest of your team.
I preferred the old Polar Highlands. I liked brawling on it because it took patience and skill. I also liked shutting down LRMs on my 4 CLAMS Piranha! :D
It seems weird to remove maps. Why not just add the new one in? Polar Highlands was interesting because it was so different than anything else and changed the playstyle.
I wish the old Polar was at least in the rotation. The trench warfare was fun, lots of flanking options. It was Canyon Network or Hibernal Rift, but not terrible where it's so small that if you fall in a hole you're basically just dead. Whichever team sits on their side of the map on the highground the most wins the vast majority of the time. And flanking on Canyon just sucks unless you have jumpjets and even if you do, they can see you coming the whole time making it pointless. I wish Canyon was gone...
i loved old polar, some people saw it as a "im gonna get lrm'd to death" where others like me saw it as " lrm guy just standing there easy kill" the people on coms crying about locks was priceless, it was a fun map but the capture points were just to far apart. 2 fast mechs with ecm could win the game
hey bara, Could you make a video on MWO, detailing the things that aren't specified on the mechs, like how the urbie can go 360 degrees, that is not shown anywhere, I suppose there are more things like that that are nowhere to be seen, I would like a video on those kinda stuff, thank you
I prefer the srm 4 spam small hvy laser spam build for this mech. Ecm and bigger engine for speed. Focus uav and arty also deprivation augment. Rest std for build on slots. Two of us ran behind an atlas on mines and unloaded. Partner had Hmg build and er smalls. His mgs crit it out almost all his gear. Did same to a marauder lrm build. Wide flank, up rear bang bang dead. Then we got cocky. Daishi with er large pulses and quad pack of lmgs. We got crit out pretty fast there.

i MISS the OLD polar, i wish they would add it to the map pool and not of removed it
Running ammo in your cockpit always gives me anxiety even tho it never matters
yes the new Polar is pretty good , still a little bit too big but enough structure for cover
I love my Hellspawn. I don't play them enough.
I do a 4xMPL and an SRM6 myself. Makes for a fantastic, hard-hitting backstabber.
That last game was awesome. I got distracted by cat for a few seconds and the kill count goes from 3 to 12

I use one of these mechs with 5 mrm-10s with a tag laser and an er-medium laser to make short work of mediums and heavies.
Good stuff. Might give something like this a go on the tabletop game.

I saw a squad of 4 of these on collisseum it was pretty effective against heavy mechs

Far from it, but they’d need to go to a new engine which would basically be writing a new game and they don’t have the budget for it.

Can't run Small Hvy Lasers on this Mech... It's an Inner Sphere Mech...
@@steelshanks1265 pretty sure they weighed more as I could only fit 4. Maybe upgraded pulses or micros. They were spamtastic.
It's not just the ECM coverage bubble that was nerfed, Clan ECM was also nerfed and was kinda useless. Autotargetable at about 400m fully skilled.
did you give up on rougetech? its been like 2 weeks now
