Those Javelin, Longarm, Missle Rack builds at the beginning will also keep you alive as you move up in divisions. You need to keep some distance when everyone has more stars on their equipment than you. One thing I would say about extra slots is that while you don't usually need more than 3 when someone or something knows how to use rocket mortars having a spare is nice.

Great videos just finished all three thank you for helping out new people to the game like me . I'm not new to robot games I did 2 years in walking war and made it to top 100 players on that game until pay to win dash came out :( left all 27 of my maxed bots and weapons usless:( so I took a brake from gaming for a year or more . Now a freind turned me onto this so far loving it been playing for 4 days now . I have long are longarm 8 on my panther and im a beast with it love at first play.. loving it . I so want thows missle racks. Later on in gaming guardin and zepher will be in my future for shure.
Ok. Question - I bought the 4th bay slot before finding your videos. I currently have Juggernaut (8 energy - Dual Plasma Cannon 4), Panther (12 energy - Dual RPG 6), Killshot (8 energy - Dual Javelin 4), & Arachnos (16 energy - Dual Long Arm 8). I'm not a fan of Arachnos, but with 16 energy I've kept him in my lineup. I've got enough A coin to get Guardian and am wondering should I switch him out for Arachnos or Juggs? I know I'm Killshot & Panther aren't going anywhere. They are my two favorite mechs right now and the two I start most matches with. Love the videos BTW.

My only disagreement is with regards to plasma Cannon's. I must put this caveat out first : I have been obsessed with plasma Cannon's since the advent of the ERPPC !.( MECHWARRIOR has been in my top 5 favourite games of all time since 1994 ,ExtendedRangeParticleProjection ,then Dooms original plasma rifle,The BFG , The Ion cannon in Star wars ) So I grabbed Plasma Cannon ,4 and whacked it on KILLSHOT and Li and behold I was in Plasma heaven having a blast ( pardon the pun !) But I do see your point about it leaving you exposed to fire due to its long discharge . I have adapted to try to survive better with rapid chaotic movement and dashing from cover to cover and actually doing crazy unexpected moves - it's ironic that most people anticipate that one will make the safest/smartest move or the "logical," move ,when the outright crazy occurs and it's the opposite of where they are leading fire/aiming or anticipating where one will go . By the few split seconds one gains you keep hitting them then make it to cover, it has proven a good tactic so far . But I am looking at Twin Javelin 6's for it - I'm 3 blueprints from getting KILLSHOT to 2stars and 7/7 so then comes lefel12 energy . Can you suggest a good tide over weapon set until I can get the necessary 700 or so A coins for the Javs please ?
Hey Mick! Appreciate the thoughts. Let me give 2 cents if it helps: 1 - this video is a bit old and a few things have changed since then. Most weapons are fine to get as it doesnt really effect daily tasks as much anymore so it wont hinder progress in that way. However, I generally stand by this guide for helping you to decide which weapons to further invest in and some more pricey ones you can skip or get later. For example, some of the early weapons that cost acoins I would skip till I get panther and javelin 6s specifically since both are so good. But most others are fine to get and play with if you enjoy them. 2 - I did do a seperate video on plasma cannons (part of the Is It Good series). This weapon initially will feel good as its powerful when you first get it (most weapons are only 1 star early on so starting at 2 is a nice boost). However, 2 and 4 energy weapons specifically have a small shelf life so I dont think they are worth investing too much into after you get them. The plasma cannon 6 is the best of that bunch, but even that one will feel more and more limited as you unlock better and stronger weapons. It might be decent end game on a light mech, but beyond that it going to be outclassed most times. If you want some loadout ideas, I have best loadout videos you can watch. Killshot is one of them. If he's at 8 energy now, you may be limited to RPG4s or a single Longarm 8. These are both pretty decent for early game and inexpensive. Plus the Longarm specifically is a great end game weapon. However if you already have plasma cannons 4s and enjoy them keep using them for now. If your issue is when you get to 12 energy, then dual RPG6s are good.

I have Longarm 8 and RPG4 On my Panther ( finally got 200 accounts from getting a second place in tournament so could afford to get my Panther on ! Lol) And I agree on the rest of you suggestions allthough I am considering getting Pulse cannon 8 . Not sure yet . Going to keep what I have and upgrade Killshot and Panther to increase Energy Levels and then address the necessary weapons . I'm frothing at the mouth to get my hands on some carbines - they look like solid performers on your videos as well as Tony from Foggy Gaming and Islanders videos , You all seem to excell with them . They look great . I'm scrimping and saving on the a coins . They are scarce but I shall just keep on trying to pry them from the grim teeth of death ! 😈🤣
@@mickberick8575 If you havent seen it, I do have a video were I compare the pulse cannon 8 and the carbine 8. Between the 2 I skew slightly in favor of the pulse cannon 8. However the carbine 8s are awesome as well and I use both so either is solid. The pulse cannon 8 just happens to be a bit cheaper even as you upgrade it so I think its important to consider in place of that one so you can save more acoins for the other carbines. In terms of the carbines, I feel like the carbine 12 is the best end game in terms of how it pairs with other weapons and it being the most damaging and the best one to make a second copy of. I havent used my carbine 10s nearly as much, but I also have a lot at max energy. I could see where some others might need the carbine 10 to compete for a bit before they get/unlock the 12 so I see both as viable. I just say that if it makes sense to skip over some for now and save some acoins for a bit. Side note - I enjoy those other youtubers as well! Great stuff :)
It syncs with the text under each that says ‘claimed from crate.’ That’s because I got these through crates in earlier beta. Back then there was not progress path system.
Because they were free so when they became purchasable, means their price was set then you had all Your previous Mechs unlocked or you got them locked and you had to buy them?
Mike Larry there might be, but honestly the only item I see in need of a nerf would be the rocket mortars. Most else is fine. I would like to see a buff to both the shotgun and brickhouse.

RM are probably ok I just think the play style isn’t fun and kind of cheesy. But brickhouse s ability so far has been mice but not massively required for gameplay. Still feels quite fair. Hopefully it stays that way as they intrude new mechs and weapons in the future!
I’ve been playing for about a year and earlier in beta they used to give weapons and mechs in crates at random. I got lucky and got everything out of crates except for zephyr, cheetah, and brickhouse.

Thank you for the video. Actually I learned about setup from your videos since I started playing. I ended up spending a little. And yea. Pulse cannon feels a tier lower than Carbine. I am using Carbine 8. So I can compare. I just dont have enough favorite weapons to fill up my hanger. So pulse cannon is in one of my mechs
WR Ekot that’s totally fine. Pulse cannons aren’t bad and I know carbines are way down the path. I guess I just feel most sustain weapons in this game to be a liability. Most also want you to get close (less than 75m) so being visible and close means you won’t last long. However some sustain weapons feel necessary on certain maps. Particularly in tourney. So pulse cannons can have a place

I used long arm for the map yesterday. Today. I may use carbine or pulse depending on whether I solo or team play. It doesn't matter when play in a team. I have a great teammate where we cover each other. So we win no matter what we used.
WR Ekot pulse seems good on either a brawler like juggy or ares. Would also be good on guardian or zephyr with their ability. Panther works great with just about everything. Although because he is so good I tend to like harder hitting weapons like the long arm. But test out builds and see what you like.
Well I think you should recheck stasis beam out man it's deff a good weapon I take full juggys out and slow the whole enemy team down also it's a assist machine use it with the right mechs and I have mine on my panther
Honestly I’ve been playing with stasis beams and I like them for certain builds but they aren’t cheap either. Stasis 12 costs almost 3k acoins and the stasis 16 cost over 300k credits (very similar to mr8s). It’s not that they aren’t good, but are they worth getting over upgrading or saving for other items? I’m not too sure. That said, I still think they are helpful and run them on a few builds. I actually plan to use them in one of my next loadout builds.
@@scape211 oh it was no offense I plan on upgrading mine as it's crazy with a sniper or thermal it can easily do 2k a hit and with that's it's like constant with the bots overheated check it out.. I want carbines but it's like 5000 plus no one denys that those are the best weapons imo. The best build would be like panther in my mind for the shield you temporarily get

Lately I’ve been testing it with a missile rack 8 and it’s quite good at various distances since you basically freeze the target. But again, my goal was to try to steer people to the best weapons in general. I agree the carbines are pricey though and I try to mention alternates at times when I can. But they are some of the best weapons. Stasis beams are also quite nice in their own right. So feel free to use them and let me know what builds work best. I’d love to try them!
Arup MUKHERJEE in early beta you could unlock all weapons and mechs randomly through crates. It was cheaper but based on luck (gotcha style system). They changed it later to the progress path.

I have made decisions of the complete opposite of what you are listing here, and it is going bad for me, as I have my currency in the hundreds and my a coins in the tens. Not doing too hot.
I hate to say it but...yea kinda 😏 In all seriousness, paragon can also hit 24 energy but due to his average stats and ability when compared to panther and guardian he’s viewed by many as less valuable. He tries to be too many things at once and it spreads him thin. He’s not terrible and serves his purpose for early game. After that though, it’s usually good to move onto something else.

Heck plenty find other weapons work well for them that I dont regularly use and thats great! Part of what makes this game great is the ability to find what works for you. DEBARATI MUKHERJEE AI bots use all weapons. Every weapon has a use and the pulse cannon 8 isn’t bad. I’m just trying to give my opinion on the weapons I feel people will find the most useful. If you find the pulse cannon useful that’s great too!

@@scape211 btw I totally forgot about redox I change my ming this was my mind before redox was there now I would swap out the Paragon with redox and swap out the stitis beams with carbine 12 I also forgot about then but if I would have unlimited every thing😭

DEBARATI MUKHERJEE AI bots use all weapons. Every weapon has a use and the pulse cannon 8 isn’t bad. I’m just trying to give my opinion on the weapons I feel people will find the most useful. If you find the pulse cannon useful that’s great too!
