      @@glamfarmhouse what I think they are referring to is sometimes boards like that can leave a slight discoloration in areas when staining unless you use pre-stain first. With the pre-stain it helps to give it a more uniform stain. I've tried it and it does make a difference but its also based on preference. Great build either way

    • @glamfarmhouse
      @glamfarmhouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chi027 thanks, yes I use pre-stain. So again not sure how it’s “splotchy”. It was legit perfect 😂 but it’s was pine and like you said and like every woodworker knows-wood absorbs again more in some areas than others regardless of pre-stain or not. Different boards from different trees will absorb stain differently. Common sense in my opinion.

    Why on earth would you put nails into this? Like seriously. The glue is definitely stronger than the nails. Clueless.

    • @glamfarmhouse
      @glamfarmhouse  ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL they’re pub nails. You can’t even see them after everything is filled. They’re there to hold the boards in place while the glue dries. Also there’s no way to clamp the middle of the table so the nails act as a clamp. Please think before commenting.
