This is awesome! Iranians always have “Leemoo Amani” stocked in the pantry, and I’ve always wondered how to add it to a cocktail. The tea idea is spot on too, my grandma always kept a dried lime in her sugar jar, added a lovely scent to tea :)

Amazing! I learned something new today! Just a couple of questions:
    1. Approximately how long does it take in the oven to achieve the consistency you mention?

Brilliant Jean-Felix! This is a very special cocktail! The flavours are delicious! I have never had these dried out limes before! I am thrilled to learn what can be done with limes that aren't completely fresh! I buy too many at a time! Bad habit but I love to have limes on hand! Lemons seem more resilient. Do you find that as well, JF? I love learning and it's so fabulous to have amazing ideas of how to repurpose limes that have faded and are not fresh!! Limes are way too expensive here to buy 'too' many 🤣 But I'll usually chuck some in the freeze for later use. They're a bit squishy, and the oils from the skin are goneburgers, but they're useable... But I'm definitely doing this to one of them! At the very least, for a for a good smelling garnish on top 😁
