Fr, i honestly haven't been listening to Mac recently, seeing this pop up in my feed reminds me of the day "nikes on my feett" dropped in 2010, and thinking it was the dopest thing i'd ever heard. crazy that was 13 years ago. They're really doing him a service. RIP Mac fly high king :(

im just amazed, most of the music released after his death was all music he thought wasn't "good" enough to release but it's all been fire >.< its sad to see he had such a poor view of his own works
Huge fan here but kinda gotta push back a bit. There's over a hundred leaks many of which from this Era they could post for the fans. If it was about his legacy they would share his unheard music, not hide it bc of profits.

I was lucky enough to attend the show in LA last night, and hearing this on the Dolby sound system was beyond phenomenal. Seeing all the visuals complementing each other was so beautiful. But watching the end, I cried so much because Mac always wanted his album to sound like you were ascending into heaven, and he was able to achieve that. Long Live The Legend Mac Miller 🕊️🕊️🕊️

@@sukulbembe4657 there are interviews and posts about mac always looking at albums as mini life times. he'll make the beginning seem similar to birth or starting out in life, the middle similar to going through major life experiences/lessons and the end being similar to death. then having the next album continue the loop, and going through all of it again. he made a post saying that he wanted the end of this album to sound like you're ascending to heaven and that everyone who worked with him on this song did the job perfectly.

@@moqa_moonflower I don’t think you were asking me. But, at a time where I didn’t feel like living, so it goes helped to comfort me. It helped me to accept what was happening in my life and conjure up hope. It is just the right flavor of melancholy reflection with beautiful production and vocal delivery from Mac. It will always have a special place in my heart as the piece of art which felt like the soundtrack to my life for a few of my hardest weeks emotionally as a young adult.

couldnt sleep tonight, out of nowhere i was inspired to listen to Swimming for the first time in a while. Then I remembered these visualizers were released. I got out of bed and fired up youtube on the TV and just watched every single song from start to finish. I am mindblown at this finale. I got tears running down my face, yet i am so joyful bro. Inspiring how well Macs team and family have carried out this legacy. Im gonna go have a midnight smoke on the porch on this breezy summer night and gaze at the stars before hittin the sack. Ill be tired at work tmrw, but Im 8 months sober and wont be hungover. I honestly think I have been subconciously avoiding Macs discography during my sobriety just because these used to be the soundtrack to my addiction and depression. This little experience was much needed , cathartic , and a great reason to be tired tomorrow :) Godspeed everyone . RIP the kid Mac Miller

I remember when he dropped the trailer for this album. I had bought meet and greet tickets when tour was announced, would’ve been up front jamming with him. A part of me died when he did. Life ain’t the same without him but day by day I get through to it because of his music. I hope to be that inspiring and amazing as him one day. Rest Easy Mac, I love you.

I’m an old head (39) and been a giant hip hop fan my entire life. I remember hearing about him from a friend of mine that worked at Complex. She interviewed him when K.I.D.S dropped and told me about him. Breath of fresh air. Kid was special. Wherever his soul is now, I assure you it’s making music. Connecting with people through music is his soul purpose. Not many people fall into that category, he certainly does though.

I felt the same way. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Less than 2 months ago my best friend passed away. He had some wild music taste but the one constant since we were kids was Mac. He started making music and gaining traction over the last year and seeing his story cut short similarly to Mac's will always hurt in a specific way. Rest in peace Mac, rest in peace Levi.

This song touches me in a way not many songs do. It's so ethereal, spiritual, and transcendent. The ending especially really gives off that vibe. I made a comment on another video years ago about how the ending of this song always felt like leaving earth, blasting off to space, and eventually to the great beyond. It's really special to be able to visually see that now and from the official page no less
Also in interviews he has said that he told Jon Brion (the producer) that he wanted it to sound like it was ascending to heaven and he delivered. Crazy how we can capture an emotion that we won’t know

I've listened to Mac since I was literally a little kid, 10 maybe 11 years old man. So many great memories, so many amazing songs, so many struggles he's helped me through.
I wanted to meet this man. Shake his hand and personally thank him for every single song. I've listened to every one of them, even when he was Easy Mac. I literally miss this guy every day, the impact this particular human has made on me is beyond what anyone other than my father, mother, or brothers have ever done.
I know you're in a happier place Mac just cheesin' big. You did your job brother, you did what you were destined to do, becoming one of the greatest artists this planet has ever seen.

I went all the way to Pittsburgh last year just to walk around all the spots I'd known him to be and feel his spirit.. his first recording studio, Frick Park Market, his highschool.. I found his resting place and sobbed and laughed and sang along to a couple of my faves, laying there smoking some herb with him. Left him some of my coolest gemstones, then a huge gust of wind blew in and it was suddenly raining... I took that to be his thanks haha. The mural at the studio had me on my knees. It was so beautiful!!
I cried pretty much the entire day I was there before I had to turn around and drive back. Mac has always and will always get me through the hardest of times.
