These small town stops are why I watch this channel. It makes me realize some of the wonderful heritage of this country, and in other cases, how these wonderful places have been economically devastated because of the international mobility of labor.

Hello Adam. Thank you for bringing us along on your trip to Denver, Colorado. Amazing how you find places that have a historic past. Doc' Holiday's place where he passed away, the Saloon named after him; are places we could never visit ourselves. The small towns are interesting to see. Thanks for sharing their history. Safe travels.

I grew up in a small town, which is still pretty much a small town with a declining population. Big event was when a new Dollar General opened last fall. This story can repeat itself all over the country, Most people are in a hurry to get somewhere, and take the interstate. Always wanted to take US1 from Maine to Key West. It would take a while, but the things I would see along the way. Or US 50 from Ocean City, MD to Sacramento, CA. I could see you doing either one of these trips someday, maybe.

Another good one. It is amazing how you find all of these "off the beaten path" places. Meandering around while the cars are flying by on the main roads in their "hustle and bustle" world. Thanks again for sharing all of your adventures with us. I am so glad you are able to do this. Just traveling wherever and enjoying your life. I love all of your videos but these are the ones I love the most. Waiting on more to come. Be safe and Happy Trails.

I got so excited to see a video from Colorado! I am a little sad that you didn't show Palisade it's SO beautiful with the Bookcliffs and Grand Mesa (which is also a beautiful drive) and one of my favorite spots and there's lots of history. Fun facts: my sister in law's family founded Palisade and my husband has relatives who live in the old Tuberculosis hospital that was there. I'm from Arvada, CO- which you drove through to get to Denver- but went to college in Grand Junction and used to stop at that gas station in Glenwood Springs on my trips home (it was a Conoco back then). One of the last conversations I had with my grandpa was about No Name and it makes me think of him every time I drive through the area but I've never been able to stop and look around. The long tunnel you went through is called the Eisenhower Tunnel and it goes through the continental divide. The Georgetown Loop is an awesome train that you can ride on and it has a tall bridge that can be fairly scary to those afraid of heights. It made me so happy seeing someone else admire Silver Plume as it's one of my favorite places here and Georgetown is just as cool and historic. Anyway, I hope Colorado treated you well and hope you want to come back!! Thanks for all of your fun videos and showing us the beautiful country we live in!! You're very much appreciated.

Hi Adam, I live in the Glenwood Springs area. If you come through Glenwood again you can take a short hike up to Doc Holidays grave. It’s a short hike up a hill and it has a great view of Glenwood Springs.
I always find it interesting to see a place I live through someone else’s eyes. Yeah, the down town area got a new bridge around 8 years ago. It was needed. The old bridge was very narrow and could not handle all the traffic. Have a great rest of your trip.

I grew up just on the other side of the mountain from Idaho Springs. Outside of Central City. There's a road past there off of Golden Gate Canyon road that's named after my grandfather
Norton Drive. Any way, welcome to Colorado!

You read my mind, with the old miner at the end, blue pants, red shirt, i bet at one timeit was painted but with snow and summer it faded it away, now in it's orignal state minus the 2 arms, it blends in with the environment...hugs from wisconsin..

The trestle coming out of the weeds might lead into a mine that would look inviting to venture into, but no way. There are groups of men who do that, but they are experienced and prepared. Hello Adam. Thank you for your time in all you do to provide excellent content for so many of us to enjoy. I personally have been watching you since your living in the van days. Still look forward to your adventures after all these years.
Golden Colorado is worth a visit. Especially to the area frozen in time.

It was an old washing machine in that Post Office. Looks like one my grandmother use to have. There's a ringer on the top for squeezing the water out of the clothes before you hung them out on a clothesline to dry.

Cool my husband and i took a road trip to Avon and Eagle a couple of years ago. Beautiful scenery!!! Also side note that Rio Grande Caboose is a orginal as you can get the caboose on a train was used for train crew to rest on long trips 2 engineers a switchman plus those seats ontop were for the firemen to watch for burning embers from oldtime locomotives back when you had a lumber tinder behind the locomotive and all rail cars were made of wood. Trains serviced cabooses out by the mid eighties.

12:46 vintage washer and dryer...back in the day my mother would borrow a neighbors W/D (smaller than this one). One day my mother was ringing out the clothes and a finger got caught in the rollers. I remember the scream. Someone pulled the plug before much damage was done.

When I saw the rest area at Glenwood Springs...nostalgia hit hard. Every dog my family has been blessed with has been there. Wee have many family vacation memories of driving through the mountains on the I-70 from Colorado to California and and back. If I am not mistaken, Eagle, Colorado is nearby. Best camping trip ever! Thanks for visiting our beautiful Rockies!

I always think of the dry south west and the problems with the lack of water. The water east of the continental divide ends up in the Mississippi. I hope they never try and divert the water west, which some keep talking about. What a wonderful visit to these small towns, Adam.

That flowing River reminded me of our cross country trip through Veil Colorado in May of 1985 when the snow was still on the ground barely melting away. Beautiful scenery all around. That river is one to be careful with. The old trains and mining towns were awesome. Thanks for taking us along. Great memories for me getting to spend the night & pass through Colorado. ❤️🙏🏻
