Yes i understand you. I felt the same. If you once heard a god playing, you will be never satisfied if you hear a human playing. 🤷♂️👌🏽😄 this is not science but it comes from the heaven 🙏🏼❤️ i was also on the stage. And i felt it: bireli was very open at the top of his head. You can say intuition. But you can also say that there was many other living beeings on the stage. So such a good musician like bireli is just open for higher feelings, higher inspirations. So i think the men is not the highest and i dont speak about religion - because religion is just a private thing. 🤚🏽 but this is culture. I hope that bireli was just the beginning. We need more of this brilliant and high musicians.
Tommy does not push to the frontiers of immagination. He plays what he knows (which is incredible, don’t get me wrong). But, it makes it less exciting for me. He simply does not have the level of raw invention like Bireli (nobody has).He also does not have the jazz vocabulary and ability to improvise on changes like Birely - because Tommy is not a jazz player. all that being said Tommy is one of the best guitarists ever, for sure. But Bireli is Bireli - a maniac guitar Einstein, nobody can touch him.
Bireli is just a beautiful extremely gifted player, there's no one else like him.

Tommy Emmanuel is an soulless Anglo, Bireli has that gypsy feel.
