Very rare video of driving to Whistler. Most dash cam videos on youtube are coming from the south from Vancouver... thank you!

I lived in Pemberton in 1980 and drove from there to Lillooet when some of the road was still gravel. What a wonderful trip it is now.

It's really beautiful. In 2019 - We drove from Vancouver to Whistler and then Pemberton for night stay. Then from Pemberton to Lillooet and then from Lillooet to Canmore, Alberta.. unforgettable drive-thru Rockey Mountain n Banff National Park in Alberta. LOVE IT.

Drove this Route last week in an old Tiffin RV I rented. Baked the brakes on Duffey Lake Road...They literally died at the bottom.....5 mins earlier and we were in pretty serious trouble. Lesson learned. That said, Beautiful. Just awe inspiring.

I'm glad the brakes lasted all, the way to the bottom 😬

My wife and I did this drive in the other direction that same year. Highly recommended. Thanks!

BC is just beautiful, especially that part. I never tire of watching videos on it. Too bad about the forest fires and the flooding.

I could live without the forest fires, it would make for a much nicer summer.

2:01:00 fun fact: BC has more than one Green Lake. There is another on BC24 Interlakes highway.

Lots has changed since 2013. I drove on a bicycle from Vancouver to Lillooet in 2 days. I remember going up and down these killer 13% grades in the opposite direction. 1km,2km, and respectively at 13% grade each time. I do notice now that they don't have the grade signs. Things do change. Like that Chevron station on the way before Sette Lake, that was not there in 2013.

I'm sure the Chevron station was there in 2013

Thanks for this grand tour of the province you're providing. So nice to be able to sit back and enjoy the scenery instead of keeping an eye on the road. Those peaks just west of Lillooet look like volcanic cones.

Thanks for watching the video Robert!

I think they are volcanic cones. According to geologists the mountains in around that area were formed as the earth moved over a "hotspot" (there is a fault running north-south essentially under the fraser canyon), forming that network of peaks in the area as the earth continued to move. You can really see how the peaks are intertwined when flying over the ranges on the Prince-George-to-Vancouver Air Canada route.
